OVERVIEW

Unbelievable feel and price

The SE Zach Myers has enough features to satisfy even the most demanding musicians. The resonance of the semi-hollow body paired with the smooth feel of the satin finish neck will make an immediate impression in your hands.

"I’ve been with PRS for 12 years. This is the best guitar I have ever played," – Zach Myers, Shinedown.

Zach Myers, lead guitarist of the multi-platinum rock band Shinedown, picked up a PRS Custom 22 at the age of fifteen and announced his first SE signature model in 2010. As a guitarist who has rocked PRS on the stage and teched for several PRS bands, Myers has an intimate understanding of how a guitar should feel and what the build quality should be. After months of design and conversations with PRS’s SE team, Zach and PRS are pleased to introduce an all-new SE Zach Myers.

The SE Zach Myers features a chambered mahogany body with maple cap, flame maple veneer and single f-hole that provides smooth mid-range tones with a natural, resonant internal reverb. The 22-fret 24.5 in. scale length wide fat neck boasts a satin finish that gives the guitar a very comfortable, woody, worn-in feel.

Additional appointments to the SE Zach Myers signature model include PRS adjustable stoptail bridge, vintage style tuners, and PRS SE 245 pickups paired with two volume and two tone controls and a 3-way toggle pickup switch. Includes gig bag.

Comments about PRS SE Zach Myers Electric Guitar:

This se has a good sound for playing out and studio use. There was no specifics givien with this guitar such as weight, string size or specific hardware. There is also no recommended hardshell case either. I had to reset it up and replace a bad switch. The neck takes some getting use to,it's a little thick in areas that I'm not use to but not to bad.But I think with minimal effort this guitar will be a great work horse for shows.

Comments about PRS SE Zach Myers Electric Guitar:

I bought this se strictly for playing local bar gigs and etc. instead of using my more expensive guitar. This seems like a great guitar for this purpose. Sounds good, plays good, comfortable and looks good.

    About Me Experienced

    Pros

    • Fun To Play
    • Good Feel
    • good sustain and resonance
    • I practice unplugged for joy of the neck
    • The neck is really nice, very playable.

    Cons

    • Flat Sound
    • mahogany body is not the prettiest wood, by far
    • poly clear coat is too plastic-y, too thick

    Best Uses

    • Jamming
    • Practicing
    • Small Venues

Comments about PRS SE Zach Myers Electric Guitar:

I really like the feel of this guitar. From tuners, to frets, tp short scale (especially with heavier strings (11s)), to it's light weight The unplugged sound is very adequate for noodling and practice. That, added to the sweet neck makes it a joy to keep out and pick up. But the body wood is a kinda ugly, more than two pieces scabbed together, then routed out. The top, although pretty, is also more than two pieces glued together. I think I'm going to sand down the back and sides, not clear to the wood, but close. Just don't like the feel of thick poly. I'll be swapping in a Duncan for the Bridge PU, and we'll see about the neck PU. Stock Pups are just so so, better with the 11s. Great looks, delicious neck.

This guitar is perfect for the intermediate player who can't quite afford a $1000+ instrument. The build quality, craftsmanship, tone, and playability you get with this guitar for the money is unmatched! The satin finished neck has an amazing feel to it and the guitar is simply beautiful to look at. Definitely give it a try!
