OVERVIEW

All solid-wood construction with a comfortable body design and topnotch electronics.

As with all SWS models, features all solid-wood construction with a Select Pressure Tested solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. The Maritime Cutaway SWS SG also features a semi-gloss Custom Polished Finish with a beautiful satin sheen. This finish provides excellent protection while still allowing the guitar’s top to breathe and vibrate freely. This is a crucial point in both the sound of the guitar and its ability to age.

Case sold separately.

Comments about Seagull 33454 Maritime Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

So this thing is very very good value - Especially on a SDOTD - All solid wood construction - So it'll age well - But that's the thing - It needs to age a bit IMHO

It feels too new in the hands - No doubt. the frets etc are all well dressed and the guitar is finished really well, but it just feels like it needs to be allowed some time to come into it's own

Great sound. Very good sustain - That was unexpected - Rich overtones - It's got that covered

Action was a bit bit higher than I'd've liked - But that's quite alright when I downtune into my own tunings to play - Standard tuning felt a bit tough on my fingers - But then I compared it to a 30 year old Taylor when I tried it out soon as it arrived, so I am being a bit unfair

Overall, I think a set up may be called for if you like your action on the lower side (not that this one's high - It's just a wee bit higher than it should be)

Great sound though - Can't go wrong with this sonically

Comments about Seagull 33454 Maritime Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I first played this style guitar when touring the Western provinces of Canada.Walked into a guitar shop in Victoria and was knocked out by the quality. I was surprised by how good it sounded. It is comparable to high end Gibson and D'Angelico guitars. I put it on the wish list , till then, well, I ended up getting the Seagull Mini Jumbo Rustic because it sounds diff from spruce top guitars with its cedar an wild cherry woods.
