Release Date:04/15/2016;Notes:Vinyl LP pressing including digital download. 2016 release, the third full length from this alt-rock band. Bear Hands are a textbook example of contrasting personalities uniting to craft something more than the sum of their parts. Vocalist/guitarist Dylan Rau, the Brooklyn-based quartetʼs self-confessed musical Luddite ("I canʼt read music, but thatʼs ok because Iʼm more of an ideas man,") peppers his supersonic chatter with an infectious collection of witticisms. By contrast his songwriting partner, guitarist Ted Feldman, grew up playing the cello and carefully selects his answers, admitting to being "a bit of a control freak." "... these Brooklyn-by-way-of-Wesleyan hipsters keep it weird with a peppy collection of hook-driven pop-rock songs wrapped in trendy indie outfits. Theyʼve opened for former classmates MGMT - and could even probably teach their forerunners a thing or two about the glory of a sticky chorus." - Billboard.;Special Attributes:DIGITAL DOWNLOAD CARD

OVERVIEW

An orchestra-sized body gives the OM outstanding playability.

This beautiful limited run guitar is equipped with a dazzling solid bearclaw spruce top instead of the usual cedar soundboard. Solid sapele mahogany back and sapele mahogany sides provide plentiful projection for live use.

The integrated CT4BII preamp faithfully projects all the warmth of the acoustic sound in amplified environments. The built-in chromatic tuner can be turned on and off independently on the front panel, so tuning can be performed even when unplugged. The auto off function ensures longer battery life. The system is simple to use, yet provides professional-grade tone control and purity of sound. Controls include volume; low, mid, and high EQ. Switches include tuner power on/off with mute, and tuner pitch selector.

Batteries can be replaced without pulling out the unit, so you don't have to loosen the strings and re-tune. Every Takamine on-board unit preamp fits its unique "SoundChoice" docking port, meaning the preamp are interchangeable. This gives Takamine players even more great options to individualize their styles and tastes.

Comments about Takamine OM ETN70BC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I own one and i must say the sound and playability are phenominal and the older it gets the better it sounds. I mainly play country and bluegrass on mine so i was most concerned about the neck size. but the neck on the takamine OM ETN70BC is the perfect size. throw a set of john pearse strigs on and you have one of the best setups out there.

not a Bad Guitar

Comments about Takamine OM ETN70BC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is an expensive guitar for not being a solid wood guitar. The Takamines all a bit subdued in tone and never really sing and ring like Taylors. This guitar would impress me when it has solid back and sides. But this model lacks that
