The Taylor AD27e Flametop Grand Pacific acoustic-electric guitar offers a new spin on traditional Taylor sound, with broad overlapping notes that blend to create a unified harmony. The AD27e Flametop features solid maple back and sides, a figured maple top and maple neck—but with the Grand Pacific body and V-Class bracing, Taylor Master Builder Andy Powers has shaped its voice into an earthy, midrange-focused sound.

By design, the AD27e Flametop Grand Pacific produces fewer overtones, giving it a slightly mellower sonic texture that’s well suited for Americana and acoustic rhythm work. The V-Class bracing boosts volume and sustain, makes tuning easier, brightens the pitch and creates stronger harmonics between notes as they ripen, bloom and fade. The Grand Pacific shape eliminates the low-end muddiness associated with dreadnought-style guitars, making it especially microphone-friendly and a solid choice for flat-pickers, strummers and fingerstyle players alike.

The AD27e’s Expression System 2 pickup design delivers the latest in Taylor innovation for acoustic-electric amplification. The heart of the ES2 is the patented behind-the-saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned, individually calibrated pickup sensors. Its placement allows the bottom of the saddle to come in full contact with the bridge, delivering all the nuance of the guitar's tone with clarity, whether playing acoustically or plugged-in. With the Taylor custom-designed "professional audio"-grade preamp, this system produces quality amplified tone and responsiveness.
