Wicked looks, killer tone.

The Washburn WI50 Guitar from the HM series is made especially for shredders. It boasts a fast rosewood fingerboard and mahogany neck with star fretboard inlays. The stop tail bridge design works great with your guitar's natural resonant sustain. It features Randall humbucking pickups, which have been specifically created to sonically match and strengthen the performance of any guitar amp tone. The engineers at Randall developed the humbucking pickups to further enhance the experience of playing a solid-body guitar in tandem with a premium amplifier. The WI50 comes equipped with a Buzz Feiten tuning system that solves tuning and intonation problems, so you'll sound dead-on pitch in every key. The carved top body, wicked scooped-out single cutaway, reverse headstock and sleek finish have a look like candy from a stranger.

A great guitar but had some suprises

By Jordan-3Uc4e

from Michigan

I've enjoyed my Washburn WI50 guitar the past few weeks, it looks amazing and plays well, however there are some things to note. When I first opened the gig bag I was surprised to find that it had active pick ups that say Egnater instead of the ones pictured. Do some research on active pickups before buying, they use 9 volt batteries(that I've read can last around 6 months) to increase the upper and lower range along with gain, though some people prefer the sound of passive pickups. Also, it has 22 frets, and the side binding is yellow (both not shown in the picture.) I am not disappointed with any of these things, however I was annoyed that my brand new guitar was having terrible fret buzz around the 1-3 frets. A truss rod adjustment stopped this problem however there is still some slight buzzing past the 12th fret so I plan on eventually taking it in to get a proper set up. I would recommend this guitar, or the WI50V, the version with a tremolo.

I just played this guitar today at my local music shop....all I can say is AWESOME. Extremely fast fretboard. The neck is a little more thhin than my Hellraiser, but its got a close feel. The one I played had the EMG's in it, and the Harmonics were amazing. This is a sweet guitar, I plan on buying it soon, you should check it out.
