Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Brown Micro Grand Digital Piano:

While the product looks pretty, the finish on the ends of each piece we had to put together was horrible. I chose to ignore it since most was hidden under the piano and under the bench seat. The top was 99% perfect with a few "runs" in the top clear coat visible at the edges. The real issue is that the entire keybed went bad in less than 2 months and I've been fighting with Suzuki to get it fixed. The first replacement keybed they sent was also defective and the tech wouldn't even install it. The second has yet to arrive and they have a lot of excuses including accusing me of damaging the instrument while putting it together. They blamed the shipping company, me, the first tech for all of the issues. A second tech has yet to contact me. The first tech had 30 years experience with electric and digital keyboards/pianos and told me Suzuki was the worst to deal with and that their product is cheap. I ignore him at first, but now....I'm going to have to believe him.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Brown Micro Grand Digital Piano:

This is a beautiful and versatile instrument. It will be an attractive and purposeful addition to our home for years to come. The craftsmanshift problem with the pedal - the predrilled holes on the lpedal unit were mot predrilled - will hopefully be resolved soon. Without the pre-drilled holes, the bracket designed to stabilize the pedal unit cannot be attached. Customer service ar Suzuki is available, and they are sware of the problem from oth we customers. An effective or reasonsble solution has not been offered. Suggesting that the custom er should "just keep trying" to attach the fasteners without the predrilled holes could easily be taken as making fun of the customer, or just plain taking him for a fool. While a solution was promised to be shared via e-mail, the message has not been received, perhaps because of the holiday.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Brown Micro Grand Digital Piano:

I was very surprised by this piano. I read lots of bad reviews, and was skeptical. I went to a piano store and tested all brands, and this was just as nice as a high end Yamaha or Samick.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Brown Micro Grand Digital Piano:

I purchased the Brown micro grand piano. It was very pretty. It had an okay feel and response with its graduated touch sensitivity. However, when the piano arrived the pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the piano for attaching the pedal supports were not there. At the direction of the help desk, I drilled tap holes in the bottom of the piano. Even when I had it set up, the piano seemed to wobble when I played it (yes, I had the legs securely tightened).
The biggest issue I had with the unit was that the harmonics associated with any given note seemed to be just slightly off which gave to me the feeling of someone pulling their fingernails across a chalk board. For background, I have been a musician for 50+ years (both as a pianist and as an instrumentalist), primarily as an avocation. At first I thought it was me, but when my wife (who also studied music in college) made the same comment a couple of months later (I played the piano primarily when I had headphones on), I knew it wasn't just me.
For me, the micro-grand was simply a Suzuki keyboard in a fancy case. However, for the price and for a non-audiophile, this piano would be fine, and beautiful piece of furniture.

A beautiful piano in form and performance. Yet small enough to manage and place without devoting an entire room to it.
