I have been playing the fiddle since 1972 using prim strings. Over the years I have been convinced to try other strings a couple of times and it would never work well for me, prim was the only string that would hold up and play well, thanks for having them, Allen.

Slow service
Slow service. Ordered 11/11 and still not received 11/28. But I do like Prim strings as I play outside at fRmers markets a lot.

Comments about Prim Violin Strings:
If you have a medium or dark timbre violin/fiddle these strings will blow you away. I play for a living and was using Helicore heavy. Prims have 3X the volume and 15X the longevity.

Comments about Prim Violin Strings:
I have found these steel wound Prims to be the best strings for my fretted fiddle. Silver or aluminum wound strings don't hold up well on my 100+ year old German fiddle. The only down side is that they are not quite as mellow sounding as say, even Helicores.
Comments about Prim Violin Strings:
Will not stay in tune while playing. I tried a set looking for a better string, but did not find

Comments about Prim Violin Strings:
Good, bright sounding strings. These are the best I have used for fiddling old time music and they last a pretty good while. I usually get about 9-10 months use out of these, although I did get one year once. Have to admit, they were a little tired by then. Other strings I used tended to last no more than 6 months and they were not as bright. If I played classical or other music, I might think about getting a warmer string.
