OVERVIEW

Instant wireless connectivity for any active loudspeaker.

The easy-to-use Stealth Wireless system from Alto Professional replaces hundreds of feet of audio cable with a reliable wireless connection. Compatible with all active loudspeakers, as well as traditional passive speaker/amplifier setups, this expandable two-channel system delivers interference-free sound.

Save Time. Save Money.
Enjoy faster setups, quicker teardowns, and eliminate complicated or unsightly cable runs, regardless of the venue. The Stealth Wireless system quickly creates a robust, invisible connection from the output of your mixer or DJ controller to the inputs of your active loudspeakers. There's no need to snake, secure, or hide any cabling during set up. After the show, simply disconnect the system and be on your way-no more tedious cable coiling at the end of the night.

Everything You Need
This complete, ready-to-use system contains a stereo (2-channel) transmitter, plus two single-channel receivers. The transmitter is equipped with XLR+1/4" combo inputs to accommodate nearly any type of mixer or other audio source. Each receiver provides a single XLR output. Two XLR cables are included. The Stealth Wireless also includes an assortment of mounting hardware, used to secure the receivers in place.

Simple Setup
First, Connect the transmitter. Plug the main outputs of your mixer or DJ controller into the Stealth Wireless transmitter, using either the XLR or 1/4" inputs.

Next, Connect the receivers. Take the XLR output on the Stealth Wireless Receiver and connect it to the input of your active loudspeaker, or to the input of your amplifier/speaker combination. Repeat this step for the second receiver.

Turn the transmitter on first, and then the receivers. It's that easy. Select any one of the 16 reliable UHF channels to minimize interference. The squelch control can be manually set to one of three levels for optimal performance. As your needs change, you can add more receivers to your system with the Stealth Wireless Expansion Pack.

Consumer Alert:

Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. For more information, call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC) or visit the FCC's wireless microphone website at: www.fcc.gov/cgb/wirelessmicrophones.

Setup simplified but for a consequence

By brubber

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

I have a DJ business but I'm not impressed. Used it twice and it has failed me in both instances. Even my clients gave me some unwanted comments on how my system sounded horribly. This system is good just for vocals (like wedding ceremonies, etc) and low volume applications. When I cranked up the volume during dancing, sound quality suffers, especially the bass and obvious treble hisses. Also, be always ready to retune the system during unexpected interference. This is a good solution to simplify setup especially during tight and huge venues (max of 200ft distance between TX/RX) but I won't compromise sound quality and hi-fidelity audio. I just sold my wireless system and got back to my conventional xlr cables. Sorry Alto, I'm a fan of your products except for this one.

Not So Stealth. Noise Floor Too High.

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

Really disappointed in the high noise floor these bring to the party.

I run a small system; 4 mics, video projector and a computer to a ZED-16FX mixer through a DriveRack PX to four ZXA1-90 speakers primarily for lectures and speaking engagements.

When I run the system with wires, all is well. The speakers do have a noise floor, as do all speakers, especially powered speakers, but it is so low as to be inaudible more than three feet from the speaker. The Stealth Wireless system adds to the noise floor considerably, making the baseline hiss audible even in the center of moderately large hotel meeting rooms. The larger the room the better; but using Stealth, people sitting 20 feet from a speaker have complained about the hiss. I'll keep the Stealth for use in situations where loud hiss is not an issue (music, outdoors, etc.), but for most of my work, I'm back to the wires.

Great idea by Alto, and good execution, but not yet perfect. The high noise floor is likely the trade-off for zero latency, which does work as-advertised. But, with the high noise floor, for me anyway, Stealth will have limited applications.

Wish I had been able to hear a demo of these before I purchased. I may still have purchased Stealth, but I would have known the limitations before doing so.

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

I have read the reviews on this product and was very skeptical about buying this as I am a pro sound man. I run sound for a gospel singer who bought this unit with a brand new set of EV Elx 115s and sub. In a nut shell it sounds great. There have been posts about high noise floor in these which is true if you dont read the directions and Gain stage your system properly.
1) The base unit has 2 gain knobs on it that should be no more than half way up. this is the 0 db level if you boost any more at the base unit it is very noisy.
2) Each venue you should test for drop outs and set the channel accordinly.
3) Make sure that the unit has a clear line of site it will not travel through walls.

I am using this unit in a city auditorium running 2 mains. sub, and 2 monitors all wireless and have had 0 problems with this and have used it 4-5 times. Dont be afraid of the name the unit is great and sounds amazing i hooked up with cables just to test and found no differance in sound quality or loudness.

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

I haven't had any issues yet that I can't resolve with fine tuning the system and understanding the acoustics you're working with. I'm also using this system with the ALTO Wireless TS115W Speakers which is Bluetooth driven and they sync together and by connecting the two with a an XLR from the master to the slave while using one ALTO Transmitter.

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

We bought this to use with our QSC system. We tried it for a year. We've gone back to using cables. The interference is too frequent and sometimes very loud. It seemed to be the worst in clubs that were on a busy street. Like almost every club. Loud intermittent pops and scratchy noises. It became bothersome to stop the show, change the frequency on the transmitters and receiver and have the problem remain or actually get worse. In some clubs, it didn't matter what frequency we used.

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

re. neg reviews, all wireless can be unpredictable so check the environment first switch channels and stay around the 0db mark on the transmitter after that noise could appear bring up volume on speaker preamp. line of sight is best thick walls and metal studs ca cause problems use it like you would use a wireless mic.
I have had no problems with noise or drop outs. do not be stupid when using wireless. If this unit doesn't work for you then buy the pro version it is a true diversity, 2 antennas and has delay and is more money
Operator era is the main problem for amatures.

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

We are an A Cappella Gospel quartet, We sing in a lot of older adult care facilities. We like to have every one in the audience be able to hear us , without being real loud in front. We have our monitors in front of the hall, and the mains in the back of the hall. That way the sound is quite uniform every where. Kind of like surround sound. Now we don't have to worry about people tripping over cords. The sound quality seems to be good.

Comments about Alto Stealth Wireless - Stereo Wireless System for Active Loudspeakers:

I have the stealth transmitter and 4 receivers. I use them occasionally at venues where I need to have sound at multiple remote locations and tie it all together at one point. It has totally saved the day at some wedding venues where I need mics for the wedding and the music all tied together and sent discretely to remote speakers. Everything was out of sight, no cables to trip over. Videographer and media even tied in to my mix out of a remote QSC for their sound. If you have a lot of hiss, try changing your other levels too. Keep the stealth at a minimum and increase the other levels. I had to tweak things a few times to improve the sound. I agree that in busy areas with a lot of active radio interference and such it may not work as well. It's probably not an overall fix for every situation but it is a valuable tool for many situations.
