We have two of these. We use 1 for FOH sound, 2 Peavey SP5XTs, and 1 for stage monitors, 2 Peavey TI115s. We have an outdoor concert series, where we'll have 100-150 folks in attendance, and these amps do all we need them to. We've never had to take them above about 75%. Their clarity complements the warmth of our speakers very nicely. (We round out the sound with a PV118 subwoofer, currently driven by a PV8.5C amp.)The only thing I do not like about these amps is the dip switches. I LOVE the 2 position switch on my Peavey amp: stereo or bridged. WAY easy to check to see you have it in the correct mode. By contrast, these have 10 dip switches, that you have to use a knife or a really small screwdriver to set, and you HAVE to use the manual to set them. COMPLETELY UNINTUITIVE. Thankfully, we predominantly run bridged, so we set them once, and generally don't change them...except the one night we needed to run Mains off of one side and monitors off another, and getting the dip switches set correctly was a royal pain. All things being equal, I can live with this. We have both EP2500 amps in one road case, and we just put the instructions in the case, in case we have to make any last minute adjustments.

The main reason I'm writing this review to to alert potential buyers that the power ratings on this amp are misleading. When I recieved the amp I put it on the test bench to measure its performance. The amp does produce the rated power, but be aware that the stated ratings are PEAK power (instantaneous power generated at the crest of the sine wave), and not RMS power, which is generally what speakers are rated in. The RMS power rating is half the peak rating for a sine wave. My other complaint with the amp is that one of the two I ordered was dead on arrival.

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
I own two of these. One powering two Behringer P1520 speakers (640w peak @8ohms), and the other, two P1800S Subs (1700w Peak @4ohms). The sound was better than expected, but these things get hot. Now, one has a problem where when both knobs are turned all the way down, sound still leaks through the right channel, and when both are cranked, the right channel isn't as loud as the left. This has been getting worse each time with use. Another thing that's annoying is that the volume has to be turned all the way down during power up and power down. No relays that turn off the speaker outputs to protect them during this, which even my GemSound xp350 had! The filters are handy, but don't expect this thing to handle anything under 8 ohms. I don't dare use it in bridged mode. I own many Behringer products, and have had few problems. These aren't built to handle what they say they can handle. Get a Crown or QSC. I've used them both and they run cool the entire show. These are now on monitor duty. The fan is back to front cooling, when everything else is front to back. Whose idea was this?! And taking it apart to reverse this voids the warranty, which is a complete joke anyway as this problem occurred just over a year after I bought it. Bottom line, if your going to own one of these, you'll need a backup if you plan on pushing it. but for that price, get a crown xls 802d, or the QSC equivalent. I now have a crown xti4000 for the subs. Built in the USA! Runs cool!
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
At this price you can't afford to spend more unless you have won the lottery and don't care.
Bought this EP2500 to power four 15" stage monitors. Plenty of power. I have two EP4000's for the mains and have been very happy with their performance. Plenty of headroom for our Classic Rock Band. These amps are heavy, but even though we are all over 60 years old we don't have a problem with carrying them in our rack cases loaded with other units. Great amps and a very reasonable price. We will continue to buy Behringer amps if we need more.
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
Im sorry but we own a behringer ep 2500 and from the first day we owned it one side is distorted, sent it back to the company, they sent it back in the same condition. Only can use one side of this amp, we've had terrible luck with all our behringer gear. So buyer beware! Sorry!
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
I do the sound, play guitar, and sing tenor harmony for "The Mill Creek Boys" bluegrass band. We perform with acoustic instruments using AudioTechnica studio mics to large outdoor audiences, and we were woefully underpowered - until now. The Behringer EP2500 has enabled us to power six 15" speakers with the cleanest sound I've ever heard and has successfully provided sound for crowds of over 500 people with plenty of headroom left over. The EP2500 takes only 2 rackmount spaces, which has the portability a traveling bluegrass band requires. Our top rating!!

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
I got this amp. as an used one with the condition #2. Turned it on and fed the signals through; everything worked beautifully. Unfortunately, the problem occurred during the turn off process; about 10 seconds after the switch was off, the 02 clip leds were glowing and then they gradually dim and off. I think that it had the internal circuit issues. I returned it. This review for the used one that I got not for the new unit. Thanks.
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
I bought two of the Behringer EP2500's and was very suprised how well they performed. I'm pushing two dual Peavey 15's and two Peavey 18" subs for my lows and these amps don't even break a sweat! If you want a good product without spending alot of money I have only one word for you BEHRINGER!
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
This amp is definately the biggest bang for your buck! I have owned a few Behringer products and have never been let down, so when I was looking to purchase an amp this company was a no brainer. I was impressed by this amp right out of the box! Great quality! Works Great, Sounds Great and runs cool. It may not have the "ooo and ahh" effect that crowns and qsc's do, but you WILL NOT be dissappointed in the sound or quality! For the price, how can you beat it?
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
Over my 25+ years I never thought I would see quality amps at such a low price. I've owned mine for a few years now and they are still kicking butt. Great quality.
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
I bought this amp last year and its sound is remarkable, made 10 year old speakers sound like they came right outta the box. I'd recommend this to a beginner DJ, its a great product, my only complaint is I wish it wouldve had 1/4" outputs.
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
I brought one of these amps about a year ago for a modest sale price, and it's still going strong as when I brought it new, as I use it 2 to 3 times a month at 6 hours of use each time. It has been a very dependable amp for me as I use it to run my mains in sterio hook-up. I am planning to purchase another one soon, to run a second PA set-up with my system. I would recommend it as one of the best amps that I've ever purchased for my dollar; but I'm hoping that after I send this comments through, that it won't break down on me next week or so...Aloha, The Hawaiian...
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
Lots of power, good build quality, and very reasonable price. Best of all, produces good quality sound with low signal noise, gets nice and LOUD.
Has just about everything I wanted, however, be warned it does NOT have 1/4" speaker outputs, so
be prepared to buy speakon cables or do as I did, pick up a couple adapters at the local music store. Internal fan works well, and so far unit has stayed cool during operation.
Chassis is built tough, heavy construction throughout. The volume nobs seem a bit cheap, but they do what they're supposed to and haven't broken. Overall good build quality.
A lot of power amp for the money, I must say. I like it.
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
I run two EV 15's and two EV 18"subs with my EP2500, and three 15" monitors with my EP1500. They are great, never had a problem. My subs shake the walls, and my mains and monitors sound great. We use them two or three gigs a week and they are very dependable. Great Amp, you won't regret buying one. or two.
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
I won't bore you with a long review. I purchased this power amp through Ebay hesitantly. It's performed perfectly!2400 Watts, Quiet.. the only thing more I wanted was 1/4" speaker outs. Just get a couple of Speakon to 1/4" adapters and you're ready to go!Thanks to this amp, I now trust Behringer. Since this purchase, I've also bought Behringer mics and rack gear. None of it has failed me yet.
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
We've powered with this amp since 2003. No problems at all. We used to push 4 carvin 15's with 8" mids. Great sound. We've downgraded to four JBL JRX125's, the sound is still awesome. Last weekend, we played at a club that had the Peavey SP 2x18 cabs. Our little Behringer pushed them, and our speakers most of the night. It did overheat once. The next three sets, we turned it off while we were on break. It sounded awesome all night long. Three years, no problems. The Behringer mixers suck, we've sworn them off, but the amp....priceless!
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
This amp is it. not even "bang for buck". it's just IT. clean power, with plenty of that to spare. you can drive mains and monitors if needed, although, you get cleaner sound using separate amps.
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
I use a lot of Behringer equipment but this is the first time to use a power amp. I've used QSC for years but the EP2500 pumped power for a 3 day bluegrass festival with no problem at all. I will buy another.
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
lots of raw clean power. and when she clips, its very subtle. its running a pair of yamaha cv115's. all i can say is : ya better hold on to something 'cause she thumps..real hard oh, the amp will run cool all eve. with out missing a beat.
Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:
I use this for DeeJay'n and live reinforcement and it KICKS. Its worth it for the amount of power to the price. i run it with a Behringer B1800x pro and carin 215 enclosure on top biamped on each side and i can run it all night long at ear splitting levels without even touching the clip led.
