The Earthworks SR40V is a hypercardioid vocal microphone designed for live performance. The SR40V features revolutionary circuitry that is hand matched to its capsule for stellar sonic performance. The SR40V’s lightning-fast transient response, extended frequency range and tight hypercardioid pickup pattern reproduce breathtaking vocals that bring studio-quality sound to the stage.

The EW SR40V delivers natural sound and unmatched presence and depth for vocals. Its clean on-axis response provides maximum intelligibility of vocals up to 90 degrees off-axis. It also serves up more than 30dB of rear rejection. This rejects off-axis noise and feedback from surrounding instruments and nearby stage monitors.

The SR40V’s hypercardioid polar pattern is consistent across all frequencies. This simplifies mic placement and ensures more gain before feedback and virtually eliminates phasing issues when using multiple mics. The SR40V can also handle sound pressure levels of up to 145dB without distortion.
