M-Audio MobilePre USB interface

The M-Audio MobilePre USB is an integrated preamp and computer audio interface designed to be used with your laptop. Three kinds of audio inputs and outputs provide maximum flexibility, including two onboard microphone/instrument preamps and high impedance instrument inputs ideal for connecting guitars and basses. It's completely bus-powered, allowing you to record and play music anywhere, including field recording and sampling expeditions with your laptop. Zero-latency monitoring provides you with a streamlined professional recording experience. In total it gives you 2x2 I/O at 16-bit/48kHz digital audio quality: two XLR mic inputs, 1/8" stereo mic input, two 1/4" hi-impedance instrument/line inputs, two 1/4" -10dBV line outputs, and 1/8" stereo line output.

Ableton Live Lite

This streamlined version of Ableton Live gives you a lot of room to experiment and create, with four audio and four MIDI tracks to make your own music with. The intuitive setup of Live makes it so that you can record, import, arrange, and process more than one audio clip at at time, regardless of differentiating pitches and tempos, in realtime, to create complete songs. You can even change tempos/pitches independently of each other after it's all thrown together, and use clip envelopes to create endless loop variations.

Whether you use digital audio recordings and MIDI sequences, or more traditional acoustic, electronic musical instruments, Ableton Live will help you easily make them one with each other. There is full VST and AU support, as well as effects you won't find with any other recording software. Several additions to this version of MoblePre Studio include full ReWire support, MIDI remote control, Mackie Control support, Complex Warp Mode, Clip Freeze, plug-in delay compensation, arrangement locators, Live Clip format, a searchable browser, new preset management and Effect/Device groups, Hi-Def recording (up to 32-bit/192kHz), and new effects such as Beat Repeat and Saturator.

The 1-1/10" evaporated gold diaphragm mounted in a solid brass capsule ensures recordings that are faithful to the source, and the Class A solid state electronics are engineered for low noise, distortion and coloration.
