Comments about Mackie MR10Smk3 10" Powered Studio Subwoofer:

Great Sub for the money.. Have tried and compared different subs at this price range and we are very happy with it... Only Con I would say is there's no footswitch but if your monitor control has another output section on it then it's no worries. Great Sub!

Comments about Mackie MR10Smk3 10" Powered Studio Subwoofer:

I don't produce EDM or other music in which the bass has to be "chest crunching." So, I've been neglecting the lower end in my mixing... until now. I can now really hear the low end and will have to go back to some of my songs that cold use a bit more or less of bass. And adjusting the volume of the MR10S without affecting the volume level of the L/R JBL monitors is as simple as reaching behind the MR10S and turning up or down its input volume. Adjusting cross-over is a breeze, too. I had it up and running within 5-10 minutes. For my budget and the small size of my home studio, this baby is perfect!

Comments about Mackie MR10Smk3 10" Powered Studio Subwoofer:

This subwoofer unit has very good quality sound, with plenty of low frequency oomph; enough for large studios and loud music styles. My studio is modestly sized, but I only need to use a fraction of this units power to get plenty of low end, which is otherwise missing from my mixing monitors. It is probably sufficient for modest sized live venues as well, but it's casing design is geared towards studios and may not be suitable for transporting to gigs. Connections are somewhat limited, as only balanced connections are provided, requiring me to also purchase special cables, but this is not a big deal.
