Don't Forget

Ergonomic and intuitive operation with a lot of pro features makes it an amazing value!

The Mix.260FX 12-Channel Compact Mixer shares the great features of the Mix Series Ultra-Compacts, but adds professional-level features like real faders and a built-in 20-bit digital multi-effects processor.

The perfect Mix, with FX

This Tapco mixer features quality 20-bit digital effects with 256 fantastic-sounding presets, including a variety of clean sounding reverbs and delays, plus chorus, flange, tremolo and rotary effects. The Mix FX also adds 60mm linear faders with mute and solo controls for the optimum hands-on Mix flexibility. It adds channel inserts, plus two busses with flexible channel/main mix assignment, subgroup master faders and discrete sub outputs.

Small is the new big

All that great sound potential won't eat up your precious desktop space either, and you can still find a place for it, even if your van is packed to the rafters with other gear. And don't worry about taking it out on the road. The Mix FX Series is a durable performer cleverly packed into a compact solid steel chassis you can depend on, night after night.

Built for speed

Small doesn't have to be cramped. Tapco and Mackie have made the most of the Mix FX Series by designing them to be comfortable to use--and not just for kids under four years of age. And because they're Tapco, the controls are presented in a way that simply makes sense to beginners and pros alike.

Do a lot, spend a little

The Mix.260FX mixer is the perfect, cost-effective solution for applications ranging from home/project recording to sound education labs, to anything a human being would need an audio mixer for. The Mix FX Series also offers incredibly useful features such as CD/tape I/O, super-accurate 8-segment main meters, and phantom power for pro-level condenser microphones, selectable AFL/PFL Solo mode, and flexible monitoring control. Add a Kensington security lock, and they're perfect for schools, dorm rooms, small churches, and anywhere thieves congregate.

Feature-Rich & Mackie Quality!

By Jazz Keyboard Man

from Sacramento, CA

I bought this mixer when it first came out, due to my similar Behringer board developing intermittent problems on the mic channels. Made by Mackie, which I like. First noticed the feel of quality. It feels similar to my bigger Mackie CFX16 board. Each channel can be routed to 1/2, 3/4, or L/R. (The CFX Mackie board does not have a L/R routing, which makes the sub busses much less useful, so I was glad to see it on the Tapco board.) I love the tunable mid-frequency eq in the mic channels! Soooo much better than 3 channel eq (or even 4 channel). Actually has 2 sub-busses, not just Mute to Alt/3-4 routing. I use 3 channels for my keyboards, and all can be controlled as one with the sub busses without touching the individual channels once they're set up. Metal case is great. Although my Behringer board was also metal, this one seems somehow more rugged. Very quiet operation, and the effects are top quality - admittedly, I've only used reverb and echo. (I imagine the mic pre's are not as good as the current Mackie offerings, but Tapco isn't as expensive either. Besides, I'm using the board for live work where the difference is not very noticable, not studio.) I needed mic cable outputs for the mains, which this board has. Mic channels also have inserts (for compressors, etc.), and sub busses have their own outs. Can't really think of anything to complain about on this board. I'm quite happy with it! Note that if you need the full sub-busses be sure to get the 260 model, not the 220 model which costs less, but has fewer routing options!

Great little mixer

By orffman

See all my reviews

I got this mixer to use in my music classroom. It is very sturdy feeling. All the knobs and slider feel very secure. Much better than the Behringer I have. The effects are very good quality, not hissy, and usable. It also looks snazzy with yellow sides. I think it will last a long time. The sound is very clean and the eq works well. Highly recommended.

Great Mixer...Just ask Matt Hyde who owned one for years

By westcoastdrummer

from SoCal

I just bought Grammy winning engineer/producer pre-owned Tapco Mix220 and it is a fine mixer. Don't believe the negative review, maybe an isolated bad unit or even the competition. I have been doing this all my adult life and know what is good and what is not and this mixer is one of the good ones. I could go on about its positive attributes, but just read what other users's all true. I just saw the one star bashing and wanted to clear things up.

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Had it repaired twice and I can only tell you it's a piece of junk. Mackie has now moved all production to china. Don't believe the glorious reports here Buy A&H, Soundrfact, Berhinger etc.
