Comments about Universal Audio Apollo Twin DUO with Realtime UAD Processing:
This is a great product if you are a songwriter that just wants to get some basic demos down. Recording just a few tracks on this unit will sound great. However, if you are really seeking pro level audio quality as this unit has been advertised, you will be disappointed. This unit is on par with the Apogee duet, which is a cool little unit as well - just sounds cheap...

Comments about Universal Audio Apollo Twin DUO with Realtime UAD Processing:
I've only had this a week, and the basic setup - UA 610 mic preamp and Tektronix compressor/limiter plugins and basic reverb presets - already improved the quality of my recordings a lot. I look forward to seeing what it can do when I've learned more about how to use it.

Comments about Universal Audio Apollo Twin DUO with Realtime UAD Processing:
The Apollo Twin Duo/Thunderbolt is a great interface for my Mac. Connections are simple and straight forward. The unit would not communicate with the Mac at first. I found that I had plugged Thunderbolt cable into the Thunderbolt port on the back of the monitor incorrectly. I rotated the plug 180 degrees and the system came to life. I was a bit surprised that I was able to make the connection incorrectly. For the cost of a Mac it shouldn't be physically possible. My fault, I guess. Downloads for UA plugins are a breeze. Fast and easy to setup. I'm using Logic Pro X and things are going well. Can't wait to use it with my UA 4-710d Twinfinity pre amp. I have been using a Yamaha AW1600 multi-track board which works really well. It has never failed me or had any system glitches. Fantastic quality recordings. Nice to have real knobs and controls instead of virtual everything. The Mac based system that I now have with the Apollo Twin is just better and more versatile. A bit of a learning curve but UA has great online info along with the internet which allows the user to gain knowledge fast. Buy one and you will like it.

Comments about Universal Audio Apollo Twin DUO with Realtime UAD Processing:
Fantastic bit of kit, and the plugins are great , having used most of the gear that is modelled in the plugins , was amazed at how well they sounded virtually indistinguishable from the hardware
