Nice to see everything isn't made in [*]. Great addition to my studio. I use A tube DI A lot. But this sounds REALLY good. And unreal quality. Weighs like A pound! For A DI that is Alot! As a keyboard player, I've shied away from active DIs for many years - they require power and can easily be overloaded with a hot board or synth. But I tried the Pro48 on a keyboard with unusually low output that just didn't have enough juice to drive my ProD2. Not the usual use case for an active DI, but I didn't want to deal with a preamp when playing live, and I didn't want anything that required external power (the venues we play often have pretty sketchy wiring, and line noise can be a problem). Boy, this thing was a prayer answered - no fussy features, built like a tank, and brought my quiet keyboard right up to the same level as everything else in the band. I love the way keys sound through the ProD2, so I was hyper critical of what the Pro48 would do tone-wise. The answer is NOTHING - it's even more transparent than the ProD2. Lows are full and articulate, highs ring out without sounding brittle, and the signal output from low to high is as flat as a pancake. I have yet to overload it - and I haven't even touched the -15db pad. This is now the most boring but essential piece of musical equipment I own! I would be willing to try this with any instrument - my phobia is cured. Thanks Radial!

The only way to get a clear, loud, true signal from your guitar or bass to your recording rig. I use this Radial PRo48 for my guitars and bass. (Some are active, some are not.) This works with all the combinations thanks to the -15pad. No noise, high quality internal parts, and built like a tank! If you are recording without one, yo have no idea what you are missing. Get one!

A solidly built box from the guys at Radial. Delivers accurate representation of my instruments in to my DAW. Phantom power keeps me from having to keep buying batteiries and the -15db pad is a must for plugging straight in to my interface. It's nothing fancy but does exactly what I needed it to do. If you're looking for a good active DI I highly suggest the PRO48.
