Foldable, closed-back headphones featuring natural surround sound.
The Ultrasone HFI-780 are foldable, closed-back headphones with a very exclusive design and extraordinary sound, offering the highest standard of technologies: S-Logic Natural Surround Sound Plus, MU Metal shielding (ULE-technology), and safer hearing.
The exclusive design of the HFI-780 headphones is accentuated by the polar-silver color. The HFI-780 contains all Ultrasone technologies such as S-Logic Plus, ULE, and safer hearing. The HFI-780 was developed from the studio sector and is distinguished by a frequency response specifically tuned for DVD and gaming. Sophisticated home cineasts and music enthusiasts have been overwhelmed by the impressing sound that appears as though you are listening to speakers meters away. Gamers are impressed by the exact sound reproduction, bringing the gaming world alive. The low frequency ranges are raised to reach the highest possible synergies with DSP-Systems like Dolby headphones and Yamaha Silent Cinema.
To understand what ULE-technology does, you need to know that most headphone drivers produce low-frequency magnetic fields as they convert an electric signal into an acoustical signal that you hear as music. In response, Ultrasone developed a special MU Metal shielding (ULE-technology) to reduce the radiation by up to 98% compared to current headphones. The ULE-technology has stood the test of international review and is recommended by technical surveillance organizations. Ultrasone originally developed the ULE-technology for professionals as they spend half of their lives in headphones. But due to grand requests the, ULE-technology has now been integrated in other Ultrasone headphone lines.
S-Logic Natural Surround Sound
Through the S-Logic Natural Surround Sound the usual headphone sound will be moved out of the head into the room around you. The sound is no longer locked in, but appears broad and detached. Directions and distances can be heard and perceived--it's just like being in a live concert. For this technology, additional equipment is not required. Take a pair of Ultrasone headphones plus your sound device and you will be ready for the 3-dimensional sound enjoyment.
S-Logic Plus is the enhanced version of the S-Logic System. The specific acoustically designed earcups of the HFI models and their stereo tonal fine-tuning of the acoustic reinforcing devices present sophisticated sound and technology. Due to an additional damping, drivers and the bufferboard complement one another with the new spatial-sounding unit. The final result is a most neutral sound impression including optimized distance perception of voices and instruments.
S-Logic does not only create a Natural Surround Sound. S-Logic allows, at the same time, a reduction of sound pressure levels by up to 40% (3-4 dB) for the same loudness sensation. This may reduce the risk of hearing damage while ensuring hours of fatigue-free listening. However, Ultrasone generally advises not to listen to music at high volumes to prevent hearing damage.
Take your listening into the ultra zone with a set of Ultrasone Natural Surround Sound headphones.

Comments about Ultrasone HFI-780 Stereo Headphones:
All I can say is dang. These bad boys are the clearest, yet beefiest headphones I have ever had the privilege to own. A lot of people like their sound more than the PRO-line. I have owned the previous model (HFI-700), and while I loved those, I think these are a step ahead. Best sound from a headphone. It's like standing in the sweet spot of your favorite stereo system. I run mine without a headphone amplifier, it does fine even with a Zune 80.
- Good Value

Comments about Ultrasone HFI-780 Stereo Headphones:
Good tracking cans. However, not for long sessions in that they are super tight on the head. I can go for maybe 1 hours and have to take them off they are that uncomfortable. The tightness makes these pretty good iso cans but at the price of uncomfortable.
