Guitar Of The Week:Fender Custom Shop - 60th Anniversary Series 2-Pickup Esquire

Guitar Of The Week - Musician's Friend Private Reserve

The Original Pine-Bodied Tone Monster!

The 60th anniversary of the Telecaster guitar has been celebrated  by the unprecedented release of some of the most collectible and  historical instruments from their storied history. The 60th Anniversary  Series Esquire 2-Pickup model is a reproduction of Fender's earliest  two-pickup "electric Spanish guitar." Adding the front pickup greatly  increased the instrument's versatility by allowing guitarists to play  more rhythm parts and helped forge music history in the process.

The 60th Anniversary Series Esquire 2-Pickup model features a  select pine body finished in black lacquer; a relic'd, one-piece  quartersawn maple neck; and a 21-fret maple fretboard. A Custom Nocaster  Vintage Tele single-coil pickup in the bridge position and Vintage '50s  single-coil pickup in the neck position offer the player a wide variety  of tones for any style of music. Playing this fine instrument makes you  wonder why Fender did not continue making instrument bodies from pine.  It is incredibly lightweight and extraordinarily resonant. The  substantial, yet extremely comfortable "medium V" profile neck helps  give the notes definition and that classic Telecaster response. This  limited edition tribute to one of Fender's benchmark moments is highly  collectible, unbelievably responsive, and the feel and playability are  out of this world. Call to reserve yours today!
