Yeah, this tuner isn't a nicer rackmount tuner, but mine's been working for over a decade, and not just on the weekends at home, but cross country, too! Mine was my uncle's, and he used it professionally for years, and then he gave it to me. It's still working perfectly fine. I was worried at first since it's plastic, but this thing's built like a tank. It doesn't have the nicer features of a Korg rack tuner, but it's a good stage tuner. I read another review that said it's not silent, and that is not true. It has a bypass and a silent output; the bypass is the one that's not silent. Overall, it's a great tuner. It lacks the features of a rack tuner, but it's a great if you want a floor tuner, which is my preference. This is, after all a stage tuner, not a studio tuner. Bottom line, they're cheap, they're lightweight, and they're built well

I bought this because the price was right and I wanted a stage tuner so I could leave my Boss tuner in the studio. BE WARNED! The Arion tuner is not a Silent tuner. You hear every note as you tune, which lemme tell ya, really wows an audience. Also, it noticably changes the tone of my guitar.I recommend it only for a beginner who doesn't care about their guitar tone, or if someone hears you tuning. However, the tuning is spot on. Which is the only good thing.

Bought this tuner used over 12 years ago and it has worked great in gig after gig. Bright lights that can be seen on the darkest stage and a jack that mutes when you tune. Mine looks terrible but works geat! Plastic battery cover won't go on straight, but otherwise this is a winner. I've spilled beer on it and dropped it many times, but it still works great. Hard to beat for the money.
I got this beacuse my guitar teacher suggested I get a tuner pedal for live use and I'd been thinking about getting one. He has had one that he's been using for 15 years (along with an SCH-1 chorus and a pcb-6 pedal board which are awesome)and it was cheap so I got it. Thing works great, it was a little odd at first, but it tunes well enough. Only problem is it doesn't tune to nonstandard pitches, but I only play in standard and drop D so its O.K.. If you need a tuner pedal, buy one, now if only Arion still made the SCH-Z chorus beacuse as much as I love my Korg, the Arion puts it to shame, no wonder my guitar teacher says he's never found anything as good as it!
My guitar teacher has a 100 dollar tuner. After I would use it I would use relative tuning and one or 3 would always be out. I got this because I will soon play a show and I did not want to use her tuner and when I play @ home i need one. I got this for the money. I opened the box and my heart pumped faster! I tuned and it was so easy! I also tuned my bass. Save money, get this!
I've owned two of these tuners. I only bought a second one because the first one was stolen! I use it onstage where it's usually dark. The tuner has seven bands and when you're in tune the center green one glows extra bright. Very easy to use. By the way, I bought a Behringer BXL900 bass amp for stage, and it turns out it didn't have a line out. So I used this tuner as a tuner and signal splitter, and it worked perfect, without draining the battery! Cool! Buy one or two, and they'll last you a long time. Highly recommended.
I have had this tuner for 19 years, and it was used when I bought it! I have gigged it with Dozens of times, spilled beer and soda on it, dropped it etc. It has been the main tuner in every band I have been in since 1988. It still works better than any tuner I've had, including, SORRY, Digitech and Korg! I used it for intonation and setups etc in my shop! It would be a deal at 4x the price! I can't recommend it more.
Bought the tuner my senior yr. of H.S. I can't remember the price. Gigged w/ it for several years. All these years later its still going strong. The wires broke away from the 9v connector but an easy fix w/ a solder lron. Onstage the muting output jack has never failed me, no crackels or scratches. Still all original. Worth every penny!
Great tuner! I was looking for a pedal tuner and came across this and for the money I bought it! Using it proves very acurate. I noticed NO sound diference when running on a chain of effects.Constuction seems very sturdy for, even though its made of plastic.Cant go wrong, price is right and it works ,,,what else do you need????
I have been using this tuner for over 14 years and it has never given me any problems. Though it feels less sturdy that my other metal pedals, it has stood up to being thrown in bags and dropped repeatedly. The batter cover broke years ago, but a pieced of tape fixed that. I use a power supply, so it doesn't matter to me. If this tune came in a chromatic version there would be no better value available.
Great value. I wanted a tuner to silently tune, that I could add to my pedal board. I play bass and tune to drop D. Picks up all my notes quickly and is dead on accurate. My complaint is that it is not completely silent. There are two outs, 1 goes silent when tuner is activated, and the other passes signal always. The silent output is close to silent, it will cut out all of your instruments sound, although the LED's that make up the strobe part put out a slight 60 cycle hum when each light is lit. Slightly annoying to me but most never notice it in live situations. It's not bullet proof, but decently sturdy, and should hold up if you take care of your gear. I will be buying another one. For the price and dead on tuning for a bass in drop D, and near silent tuning, it's a steal.
The price tag is not worth the frustration you will experience when you use this pedal! For starters the cheap plastic parts that house the electronics were NOT made for the gigging musician. The LED display is very hard to read, "Is that a B or a A?" and the cheap input jack cuts in an out when moved, so it's not really meant to be stepped on. Bottom line: if your a serious musician buy a serious pedal like a boss or a korg, not a cheap japanese toy.
