Two smaller sliding tiers hold computer keyboards, and handy cable organizers in back keep them tangle-free and out of the way. Locking casters make the whole system easy to move.

This desk surprised me. I scoured the internet for reviews and videos of this desk. I saw the many complaints and decided to take the plunge because it the cheapest big studio desk on the internet and maybe this planet. I'm impressed with the quality and the ease of putting together. I don't have much equipment so the extra rack spaces in the bottom are not used except for the power conditioner i decided to keep far away from my other equipment.

Love this as it works great for editing videos and other work that I do. The only problem is that the rack mounts are definitely not made for holding heavy items, like rack mount PC's, or anything that weighs more than a few pounds as the rack mounts are flimsy and only spot welded to the workstation. On the one I have, one of the spot welds was broken out of the box, but I didn't feel like having to ship the whole unit back because of it. Also MAKE SURE where you put it is where you want to keep it because it does not fit out a normal size door withouth having to dismantle it.

Other than that, it's a great workstation and I use it on a daily basis. In fact, I am getting ready to order another one.

This is a fabulous workstation. It took several hours to assemble. I would like to expand the lower shelving space to incorporate some racks for other audio & sound processing equipment.

Comments about Studio RTA Producer Station:

Product is veneer over particle board, and the metal frames are VERY lightweight metal. Construction is easy with the exception of the second screws for the CD holders.....can't figure out how they expect you to turn an Allen wrench in a slot just twice the width of the wrench in a space you cannot reach.

Better priced at$250.00 for a product of this quality.

For my Home studio recording this desk is awesome. Has plenty of rack space, it is spacious and only took 1.5 hrs to put together and get all my gear on it. It moves easily due to the multiple wheels. The side aluminum is a little on thin side so don't be bumping it, it will bend. The desktop and shelving are thick and sturdy. Got this on sale and it was well worth it.

Comments about Studio RTA Producer Station:

I bought this product for use as a computer station. It was a bit difficult to set up in my room. It's very big and probably won't fit through doors easily. Still, once it was set up and all my gear was plugged in I was very happy with the purchase.

The station does have these weird ... 'barriers' in some of the holes for wires that I don't understand. I was able to get wires through them with some effort, but i'm not sure why they're there. It's not like anyone can see them in the back. The wire tray in the back was moderately useful, moving wires to other sides to keep clutter out of one space I suppose. But most of my wires are going up and down instead of left and right, plunging into the AV receiver and all.

Speaking of, my gear fits super well into the station. I've got my computer on the bottom right, my game consoles on the bottom left, my keyboard and mouse in the keyboard tray. My receiver in the right cubby hole, and my PS2 and PSP under the shelf. The top has room for two tvs, but.. IT's actually hard to see at that angle sometimes when it gets dark on the screen. Small grievance that might be fixed by upping the brightness.

I'm very exited to use this product more, it's so big and carries so much stuff I feel like it's a true control center for my computing/gaming experience. I was hoping to get it in cherry, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Still a good buy either way, Especially if I can find shelves to put on the bottoms of the station.

Comments about Studio RTA Producer Station:

The intention was to par down my studio equipment into a smaller footprint yet still fully functional system. The woodworking was precise. It was easily assembled and directions were easy to follow. Following the other reviewers recommendations, I installed T-nuts and 1/4" bolts to replace the caster screws. I also cut the desk top vertical panels and back cover board, and rack rails to 9-1/8" to eliminate the odd sized space and to lower the top shelf 1-5/8". My problem; rack rails are not drilled for standard rack equipment. There is a slight creep as equipment is inserted. The only remedy is to file the Equipment holes to allow to allow screws to insert without stripping the threads. I was extremely careful during assembly to align and square rails with the top and back panel. Squareness was checked again after turning the unit upright. My guess is the rack creep comes in converting Imperial measurements to metric; the rounding error is causing the problem. Also, the metal could be a bit heavier gauge and the welds are very sketchy. I use ADAT machines (I like the sound) and they are a bit heavy. So far, no problems but I have a welder if I need to repair.

Comments about Studio RTA Producer Station:

Everything's pretty much been said about this unit, given how long it's been out. There doesn't seem to be anything else on the market similar at that price point. It is indeed an adventure, between the time the delivery driver lowers the pallet to the street and when you finally put in the last hex screw. Took a couple hours of slowly reading directions, sipping a glass of reasonably priced Costco Cabernet and calling on the rest of the family when finally time to tip it right-side up. This took the place of a folding table that I used the last 15 years. So happy that it's on rollers, making access to the back easy. Like others, I chose to take the CD holders out, which does allow more room. It would be interesting to see if RTA could update the design in any way, though perhaps not.

Great desk for the money. Assembly was straight forward and intuitive. Desk was constructed in such a way that I feel confident I could disassemble it and move it if need be. You can't say that about most self-assembly pieces of furniture. Rack rails could use improvement. If I had to list a weakness it would the rails aren't exactly perfect. Still not enough of an issue to remove a star.

I purchased this desk as the focal point for my new home studio and I absolutely love it! There is plenty of rack space to go around so for people like me recording in a 2 bedroom apartment can save space. The chord routing system is very functional and everything is very neat and tidy. I love the drawer that comes out from the desk top it's perfect for an interface. It's well out of the way and you can slide it right to you for ajustments. There is plenty of room for computers and monitors, midi controllers Ect. The only problem I had what the "privacy sheeting is very thin and bends very easy so be careful when assembling. Oh and the assembly was very easy and I did it on my own without a problem
