I was very happy to see that this driver can really dish out the bass. I did SPL test measurements and with a 6 Cu/Ft cabinet using an "L" slot-style port, I was able to get 18Hz - 100Hz +/-3db with low frequencies extending to 10Hz - 150Hz (+/-12db). The only complaint was the shipping container that B-52 uses for these drivers. However, it is built so strong that even if it rattles around in its box during shipping, it will not suffer any damage. Amp used for testing was a Samson SX-1800 (1,200 W/Bridged RMS) & Behringer Ultragraph FBQ-PRO FBQ1502 EQ/Crossover.

B-52 18-220S 18" 1000W Cast Frame Subwoofer we bought a pair of these to supplement our system and wound up using them as our primary subs. they deliver chest pounding lows without effort, are extremely well built and very efficient. if you are looking for an 18" to upgrade your system this is the speaker for you.we are replacing all our 18's with these and the price is right. the only drawback is they will add some weight to the cabinet but well worth the extra muscle to move them. get yourself some before they figure out how good they really are and raise the price.
