After playing the guitar for a couple years, I decided to wade into the "cable waters". Anyone who has done this knows what I am talking about. The debate rages on between the inexpensive cable manufacturers who claim no difference in sound, and boutique manufacturers who want you to take out a loan for a single cable.

To put it simply, there is a definite difference in clarity on the high end using this cable...with quality pickups...and a tube amp...and no pedalboard...and listening hard in a quiet room. I was skeptical, so even this shocked me that there was an audible difference. But don't mistake what I am saying as it is night and day. It is a nuance.

LiveWire Advantage cables (for example) sound great in all other areas minus that high frequency nuance, and in live settings, you will definitely not hear it. So don't obsess over it. Surprisingly, though, I didn't notice this same high frequency benefit with other similarly priced options.

So this bullet cable is the real thing. Better sound, very durable, awesome brand name, and awesome bullet-shaped connectors. Definite "coolness" factor. Vintage coil looks great without all the drawbacks of the original vintage coils. Mine is white, and it does get dirty. You will need to wipe it down from time to time. I like how the coil design keeps it from tangling under your feet when you are close to your amp.

Excellent cable.

It's a great Cable except for the Stress relief sleeve which comes out on one end, I would think after continous use it will short out. I would suggest a thicker sleeve that would be heat shrikable around the including half of the Connector. Other than that it's great. There is alot of stress on the straight end part of the connector.

Had this cable for six years + and It has lasted. I hauled it everywhere.

My twin two year olds would play with it and abuse it and it stood up to that abuse for six months and finally it got a short. I'll be ordering another soon. Sounds good and it tough.

Comments about Bullet Cable 30' Premium Vintage Classic Coil Instrument Cable:

I am a recent convert from Monster to Bullet Cables and immediately after plugging it in for the first time I noticed an improvement in my over all tone. I decided to test out how far you really can stretch these things and I literally ran out of space in my house to stretch it. To me holding this cable in my hand I'm like "This is a CABLE!" with how sturdy it feels and it's weight.

In short this cable lets you have some more freedom on stage, sounds great and just feels great.

Comments about Bullet Cable 30' Premium Vintage Classic Coil Instrument Cable:

After coming off a bad relationship with one of those build it yourself cables, being able to plug in and have it just work was a breath of fresh air. Side by side the sound was much improved and I felt like I could move around without fear of pulling something loose. One critique is that it is a very heavy cable. I definitely noticed the weight while playing. That being said it looks cool and sounds good. What more do you need?

Comments about Bullet Cable 30' Premium Vintage Classic Coil Instrument Cable:

I've seen other guitarists who are after the Jimi BOG sound rebuke the marketing claims that this cable retains high frequencies.

To my ears it rolls off highs, and for a Jimi-esque strat single coil sound that can be a good thing - just what the doc ordered.

It is also FAT/thick and heavy and well constructed.

Nobody else may have this issue, but since I have a lefty strat converted to a righty, the jack is on the top side of the guitar, and this right angle connector is extra long which makes it difficult to maneuver around for palm mute wrist angling.

I have owned the Vox and this Bullet cable. The sound quality is fine in both of them. The Bullet is very heavy but it kinked up and the coils did not return to their original shape. I purchased a Devine Noise coil cable made in Portland Oregon they say they have never had a cable fail It is heavy as well, not as heavy as the bullet but it coils seem to be much better quality and the weight is not as noticable less drag, of course the cable costs twice as much and is hand made in the USA.

Outstanding cable. looks, performance, quality !!!
The Bullet 30 Ft. coilled instrument cable is VERY WELL MADE, and should last a lifetime! Not quite as bright as a shorter top line cable, in my case, the VERY SLIGHT loss of high end was fine as I use a Tele the vast majority of the time. The best review I can give is that I would buy another in a HEART BEAT !!!!

              The best so far!

Comments about Bullet Cable 30' Premium Vintage Classic Coil Instrument Cable:

If you can't tell already, I'm very sastisfied with this cable, but if that wasn't enough, it looks cool too I play clubs a lot, so my experience with it has been live, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it in the studio.
The coil is so much easier to deal with than a standard cable. It seems ridiculous to me now, that I ever used something different. No twists that wrap around your wah pedal, foot, guitar/mic stand etc. Short when you need it to be and long when you need it to be.
Also, when doing the standard cable through the strap technique, if you wrap a coil around the strap button, it works perfectly. Just be sure to give yourself enough slack, so there isn't a sharp angle in the cable. Standard cables will slowly slide through your strap, creating a sharp angle, which shortens cable life. With this cable, you wrap a coil around the strap button and it stays put!
It seems pretty rugged to me. I've only had it a short time, but it's very thick and seems well constructed. The connections are also sealed. Another thing.. I haven't noticed any upper frequency loss that is typically, or was, associated with coiled cables. This thing is 30' and the cable going from my board to my amp imput is 20', so that's 50' of cable, and my signal is hot, with no noticed high-end loss.
Good price for what you get, especially if it lasts a long time, and I think it will. Pros don't have time for garbage cables and many use this one.
