This is an excellent case. It is very heavy duty and has thicker walls than less expensive cases. It is nice and wide and should fit most solid body guitars. I have a really wide Gretch G5220 and it fits perfect. Beefy latches too. Maybe they have changed the insides, because mine has a really big storage compartment in the center. It also give the guitar really good neck support. Great case!
Wow. I needed something for my Schecter Celloblaster, and I was afraid the extended neck wouldn't fit in a standard guitar case. I decided to give this one a shot a few weeks ago. I thought I was getting just a crappy chipboard case with cheap "plush" inside to use temporarily until the Schecter case I wanted was in stock. What a surprise. This case is really nice. I've purchased $100+ cases that weren't as well put together and "comfy" as this one. I liked it so much, I bought another one for my girlfriend's Bronco Bass (fits a short-scale bass perfectly). I'm going to use this case permanently, and when I need another case in the future, I'm definitely buying a Coffin. The description says the inside is "plush", but it's actually the soft signature Coffin "diamond" sewn material. The case is built solid and looks great. Like the previous reviewer, I gave it an 8 for "features" because it lacks a compartment for picks, strap, strings, etc. Overall, though, this is a great case for the price.
I looked at all of the other cases, they were good, this one was around the same price range, and it out of the only one I saw had a storage compartment others I'd looked at didn't, it look's great, hold's my axe well with the pillow it fits even better.
This case certainly does look cool and it does fit my strat so that makes it an ok case. it's still in one piece after 2 years with minor visable damage. the biggest problem is it has no inner compartments, so really it's a sacrifice: style or convience, your choice.
First of all don't get me wrong. This case is a good case as far as I can tell, just don't buy it for a Dean Evo series guitar... It won't fit! Spend a few extra bucks and get the Evo case from Dean. Don't be like me trying to save few bucks and ending up with more headaches than it's worth.
i was lookin for something unique to house the new ibanez i bought on the same order and stumbled across the coffin cases. right away i was attracted to the style of the cases i saw. i went with the basic universal case which fits my ibanez just fine. the only thing that i wasnt satisified with was storage. granted there was extra space but no compartments designated for storage. i find that to be the only flaw when im leavin a friends house and trying to put all my stuff inside. other than that i think it was a great deal and i'm very happy with it otherwise
The case is built like a tank, and it's stylish and good looking. Adds a good creepy feel. Though I give it bad marks in features since it has no compartment for picks and etc... It smelled bad of silica when I got it, but that will surely dissipate.
