Look for Yilo Quinones guitar at Internet and look for the guitar sound but with D'addario EJ47 strings; very similar. This string have excellent price too!

I bought these because they were cheap and D'Addario had there name on them. They the worst strings ive ever used. the tone is terrible, the trebles make a high tingy sound the the basses have to dept. they sound very bad if you use a pick but a little better with fingers but still not good enough for me. im taking them off asap. if you get this brand the pro arte sound pretty good but the only kind im going to buy now is martin strings. the have a nicer warmer Spanish tone and sound good with a pick and they're under $5 a pack. i recommend trying them instead.

nice sound and action ok, once tuning was completed. again even thought they were inexpensive, poor color coding on strings, E,B,G, strings are clear and it looked like they marked them with a felt pen. great packaging and instructions, just was hard to see color code on the strings themselves.

Have not played nylon strings in decades. They sound fine on the plywood Yamaha C-40. You will not get better quality inexpensive strings.

Comments about D'Addario EJ27N Normal Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

I tried these strings on two vintage guitars :
                1) Martin 00 classical made in 1942
                2) Yamaha no. 60 Gakki classical made in 1962

The trebles are dead on the Gakki, but sound the way I would expect on the Martin. So I can't really fault the strings if the Martin produces acceptable tone with them.

Strech-in time seems reasonable as I tune them up way sharp, let them sit over night, then they are mostly stable in the morning.

Certainly NOT performamce quality strings, unless your performance includes smashing the guitar on stage.

Having said that, I'm giving the Gakki to my son. He does not need more expensive strings as he will be strumming 1st position chords and maybe a little beginner finger picking (like Malagueña).

I gave a max rating for what they are. These are great cheap strings for beginners, students, or those instances where you need a cheap set up to smash on stage.

Comments about D'Addario EJ27N Normal Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

We have bridge pins, and there are no loops on the ends of these strings. So, there isn't any way to prevent them from simply slipping out. This is my mistake, and I should have known better. I'm looking for really easy strings for my boy; he's a beginner.
I'm not complaining at all, but buyers need to be made aware that there are no loops on the ends of these strings - they are simply a straight wire on both ends.
One complain I do have, however, is that the paint for the color coding is so faint it's very difficult to discern.

I've been buying another brand since 1978. I thought Id give these a try since they're so inexpensive. My mistake. The brand I usually buy stretches in and stabilizes tuning in 3 to 4 days, typical of most nylon strings. These have been tuned up every day for 25 weeks, as of today, and are still stretching a full-step flat every morning. If these strings were free, I'd still pitch them into a dumpster. Don't waste your money on this brand. I wouldn't recommend these to an enemy.

Comments about D'Addario EJ27N Normal Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

I've started using classical guitar strings on my baritone ukuleles, as they are softer (less tension) than typical baritone uke sets, and tend to last longer (the wound strings). I am trying this set using the ADGB strings, tuning them DGBE, as a friend recommended. Stepping the strings seems to defeat my intent to have a softer feel (for my arthritis on the fretting hand), so I may move them and use the dgbe four as originally intended. These see m to be fine, particularly considering the price. I think the Martin sets sound better, but then I didn't use the correct strings, did I. Instead of packaging each string individually, they jumble them together in one coil; the color coding is not very obvious, but do-able.

The lower 3 strings, E, A & D tend to suffer intonation issues after a few hundred hours of playing. No big deal, just get a replacement set and use just the lower 3.
