Comments about D'Addario EJ43 Pro-Arte Light Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

Low tension nylon strings works well for my weak 65 year old hands and they sound good. Less stress on the guitar neck as well.

Comments about D'Addario EJ43 Pro-Arte Light Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

These are my strings of choice. I like their nice mellow sound, and the light tension means I can play for longer periods of time, without putting to much strain on my left hand, fingers, wrist, or forearm. The price is reasonable too.

      Works well for student-sized guitar

Comments about D'Addario EJ43 Pro-Arte Light Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

What can you say about strings? These were placed on a rather fragile 1/2 size student guitar my co-worker acquired for his grand daughter. I made some adjustments to the instrument to make it more playable, but remained concerned about its construction. These low-tension nylons fit the bill for getting the instrument back into the hands of its owner and easing my conscience about putting too much tension on the guitar top. As far as playing, these are lighter than I care for, but they have a nice ring to the mids and highs. The lows were mellow and not real distinct, but I would attribute that to the instrument. For the price, they were well worth it for getting another guitar into another child's hands.

Comments about D'Addario EJ43 Pro-Arte Light Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

These string are OK. Not great but it depends what your playing. If you want some speed sure but your going to give up some sound. Ill stick with normal instead. They worn out kind of fast to. But this is just me, you might love them. if you a beginner i would recommend them but thats about it.

Comments about D'Addario EJ43 Pro-Arte Light Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

These softer strings are perfect for me. I am a hobbyist and 13 year player, a retired professor approaching 70 years old. I have used these strings on two cedar-top guitars. The feel is magnificent, and the strings seem to last longer than the much more expensive strings I have been using (European). I can now play longer and more vigorously than ever before - without the aching hands I thought were part of the enterprise. Perfect for me, I recommend them unreservedly.

Easy To Play, But Definitely NOT As Loud

Comments about D'Addario EJ43 Pro-Arte Light Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

I have been using D'Addario EJ-45 (Normal Tension) strings for a couple of years and decided I'd give these 43's a try. Contrary to what other reviewers have indicated, I immediately noted a decrease in volume when using these light tension strings. I suppose if one is playing with electronic amplification, these strings might be fine.

I play spruce solid-top guitars (J. Marcario 145 and Yamaha GC-7M) so crispness, as well as volume, are crucial to me. Unfortunately, these 43's have neither the volume nor the clarity of the 45's. They are a touch easier to play and they may suit the needs of others; however, they aren't right for me. I'll be switching back to 45's tomorrow.

Best regards ... and happy playing !

Comments about D'Addario EJ43 Pro-Arte Light Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

While an experienced guitarist, I am new to the world of nylon strings. This set was reasonably priced and performed as advertised on the guitar I worked on. Liked the detail provided on the package as to string diameter and tension. The guitar belongs to a novice player and I believe he will enjoy playing the instrument more as the strings are easier to fret.

Comments about D'Addario EJ43 Pro-Arte Light Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

If you like the EJ45s, give these a try. I have switched to the EJ43s and like the softer touch. To my ears the tone is the same as the EJ45s.
I tune my guitars to D allowing an even more lighter touch. They sound the same as EJ45s and sound just as good when tuned in D.
The lighter tension lowers the action slightly on softer necked guitars.
They are kind to my old hands and kind to my old guitars.
                I will purchase more.
