Comments about D'Addario EPS590 ProSteels Light Jazz Electric Guitar Strings:
First off let me state this: Thee strings are bet for RHYTHM style playing.
Okay, other than that these strings are just as good as any of the other D'adario sets I've played in the past. They work well for me as I don't play lead and need a slightly heavier string as I preform in Eb tuning mostly. Thee strings also lack some of the warmth that nickel strings have but you trade warmth for crunch with these so if you are looking for a warm lead tone or want a more warm sound don't use these or you will be slightly sorry. This does not bother me as I also preform with distortion and that is where these puppies shine! Clean tones sound sharp and with a good bit of stinging overtones on the G-B-E strings. The low E-A-D strings have a almost percussive "piano tone" under clean settings. What can I say they work for me but they are not for everybody including Lead guitar players who need more "flex" in the string. The Amp you play through and the electronics in your guitar will also play a factor in the "tone" of your strings as well so don't jump to conclusions about these strings as it takes time to get the best tone out of em' My current set has lasted about 7 months on a old Vandalism stratocaster I bought second hand. Overall good Strings you just gotta break them in to get them to sound good.
