OVERVIEW

Special coating extends string life dramatically!

Gauges: 11-15-22-32-42-52.
EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings provide longer life and increased durability coupled with the brightness, clarity and sensitivity you've come to expect from D'Addario strings. Here is how it works: An ultrafine layer of EXP coating is bonded to the phosphor bronze wrap wire, which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. And since the EXP coating is cross-linked to the wrap wire prior to winding, the strings sound fresh and bright. New-string tone lasts 3 to 4 times longer than traditional guitar strings.

D'Addario is the world's largest manufacturer of strings for musical instruments. Many top guitarists won't play any other brand. Regardless of your playing style, D'Addario has a set that's right for you.

They retain their brilliance long after similar bronze and brass alloy strings go dead. Don't wait for catastrophe, order several sets today.

I got a new guitar an Ibanez Talman TCM50 Cutaway for next to my chair to play at night. (I play about 2 hours every night.)I decided to try these strings (D'Addario EXP26 Coated Phosphor Bronze Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings). The best! But within two months the G string developed BAD fret bumps on the top, at each fret! I thought it was a fluke. So I picked up two more sets to try out. They do sound great! The second set did the same thing and where UNTUNEABLE within two months. And the G string had the same problem with the fret bumps (on all frets). Well now Im on my last set I put them on in mid January. And this time I noticed that the bumps started about two weeks after I put them on. Well now its been two months. And I think I will try a different brand!I sent two emails to D'Addario to ask them about the string. They never replayed back.

Comments about D'Addario EXP26 Coated Phosphor Bronze Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

This is my first set of coated strings, will be trying various brands etc., but these are awesome. One thing I have noticed is the coating really let's you know if you have rough / unpolished sections of frets - doing pulls, your fingers will feel these like speed bumps.

I can only say that I'm more than satisfied. I've finally found a set of acoustic guitar strings that keep their tone and done break for many months. The last set I used help up for over six months sounding great the whole time!

          A winner.

Comments about D'Addario EXP26 Coated Phosphor Bronze Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I've tried a lot of strings, and most of them are pretty good for about 3 days, then they start to fade. For kicks, I tried a set of Elixers, because I liked the ClearTones (but not the ClearTone price) and went from .011's to .012's just to see what a heavier set was like. I utterly hated them. I can't be sure if it was the Elixers or the gauge or my Yamaha, but I sufferd for months with them. Then I tried these, in .011's, and all that I love in a new set of strings came flooding back. I would recommend these quite highly to anyone that wants a great sound in a coated string, especially on a Yamaha acoustic. I give these a 9 out of 10, because after 2 weeks, they are starting to fade also, but maybe I'm expecting too much.
Color coded ball ends. Nice for new comers, I would think.
D'Addario is second to none on quality.
Coated strings are slightly over priced. but Musicians Friend helps with free shipping (and no tax).

          Sounds Great

Comments about D'Addario EXP26 Coated Phosphor Bronze Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

          Great
They sound better than the uncoated strings and they last 6 times as long. I change my strings every 6 months.
It's cheaper to use the coated strings, they last longer.

Comments about D'Addario EXP26 Coated Phosphor Bronze Custom Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I own a Taylor 614ce what came Elixirs but they just wouldn't hold up . I play roughly 2 to 3 hours a day plus praise and worship at the church twice a week. I've tried almost everything out there, and by far for the these things are the best for value and playability.
