Bright stiff strings are perfect for Resophonics

By Michael Hughes

Comments about D'Addario EXP42 Coated Phosphor Bronze Resophonic Guitar Strings:

Best reso strings going.
These strings are the equivalent to a volume knob that goes to 11! The brightness of the sound and the stiffness of the pluck make these the best resophonic strings I've ever played.
Can't beat the Musician's Friend price!

Comments about D'Addario EXP42 Coated Phosphor Bronze Resophonic Guitar Strings:

I have played D'addario exclusively since 1996 on all 12 of my guitars - acoustic, 6,12 and resonator, bass and electric. I don't know how D'addario creates a coated string that looks and feels un-coated, but they do. I play alot, both finger picked, plectrum and slide, and I know I can depend on D'addario, for consistent tone and quality. I rely on them - and almost take them for granted. One of the first things that I did when I bought my new resonator was re-string. The instrument came alive - as I knew it would. I have played other strings in the past but have relied on D'addario for over 15 years, for both performance and recording.

Comments about D'Addario EXP42 Coated Phosphor Bronze Resophonic Guitar Strings:

I've used several brands of strings during the years I've had my resonator and these are (so far) the best sounding and playing. I just finished a set of elixers and 'will not' use them again! These new strings immediately made my resonator sound several notches better and even play better!

Have used numerous strings on my Dobro in the past.Always had this tinny sound from the first string. These strings have excellent sound and the tinny sound is gone.
