Comments about Dean Deluxe Hardshell Electric Bass Guitar Case For Metalman V Series:

Very large case, 57' X 19', built tough, will probably take a lot of beatings before any damage to it. Extra heavy with the bass. Hardshell is the way to go.

Comments about Dean Deluxe Hardshell Electric Bass Guitar Case For Metalman V Series:

I bought this because it was the only hardshell case i could find that would fit a long scale Gibson Type V bass copy. It had the extra few inches lengthwise needed inside the case to fit the bass, but does come molded specifically for the Metalman. Since my bass had a wider body than the Dean i needed to modify the cushion interior which was fairly easy to do. It is a big case, wouldnt want to walk more than half a block with it, and wonder in the long run if any handle will support the weight over the long term. But as far as getting a harshell surface around my bass, i acheived my goal.

Comments about Dean Deluxe Hardshell Electric Bass Guitar Case For Metalman V Series:

I bought this case after a long search for a case that would accomodate my Epiphone '58 Korina Flying V Bass. It was looking like I was going to have to get a case custom made, which would have been very pricey. But this case fit very well (maybe a bit too well, as the top strap button almost doesn't want to fit without mashing the padding in a bit). This case is very long and, with the bass inside, will give you a workout just carrying it.Even without the bass, it's heavy. The latches are secure, and it has a very big compartment for straps and other necessities. My only complaint is the funky retaining strap that goes over the neck, which has a Velcro strip on both ends. It really doesn't add anything to the safety factor, and should be permanently attached on one side, with a snap-button on the other, or simply put snap buttons on BOTH sides. Can't figure out what they were thinking when they designed this feature. Otherwise, this is a good medium-duty case, perfect for gigs, light travel (not for airlines, though)and rehearsals.

Comments about Dean Deluxe Hardshell Electric Bass Guitar Case For Metalman V Series:

It's an extremely nice case ....If its all in one piece when you get it. Mine arrived with every last one of the rivots in the lid , either missing or laying in the box it was shipped. I ended up fixing it myself with some screws ....but still VERY , VERY disappointed !!
.....and not the first disappointment from Musicians Friend !! .....This dude is done with Musicians Friend.

        case of doom

Comments about Dean Deluxe Hardshell Electric Bass Guitar Case For Metalman V Series:

Holy Cow this case is huge! I suppose that's to be expected, given the V and the big Dean headstock. That said, this case is hardcore and road ready, and will build up your arms from gig to gig. My only complaint is that the padding is pretty snug and requires some pushing to get the strap studs down...
