    Full rock 'n' roll tone.

Dean Markley's Vintage Reissue electric guitar strings are nickel-plated steel hand-wound slowly over a round core, which affords the outer string wrap to have 100% contact with the core wire. This allows the guitar string to vibrate completely for maximum sustain, creating a warm, full sound distinctive of classic rock 'n' roll.

Vintage Electric Reissue strings are the exact same strings, with the exact same formula, as the original Vintage Electric that became so world famous. The care taken in producing these strings ensures that they have clear tone and be as long-lasting as the original Vintage Electric guitar strings.

This special re-creation of the original string formula celebrates a return to vintage tones that modern players continue to demand.

The Dean Markley Vintage Electric Reissue strings received the Best in Show award for the Best New Accessory at Winter NAMM 2008 musical products convention

Comments about Dean Markley 1973 Vintage Reissue Regular Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings are unusually dark sounding and lack high-end energy -- so much so that I could tell the difference even while putting them on. They sounded duller than the worn-out nickel strings I was replacing.

They're not so much warm as they were dead on arrival, which ends up emphasizing the midrange, of course, and I've used a wide range of strings over the years to compare them to. In fact, I first used this brand when I was a teenager learning to play back in the mid-'80s, and I didn't like them then either.

What's more odd about these strings is how loose they are when tuned to pitch: They feel and sound floppy and flubby. The overall effect made me wonder if I had somehow gotten the wrong gauge or turned my tone pot down, but alas, they just suck tone out of the guitar.

Comments about Dean Markley 1973 Vintage Reissue Regular Electric Guitar Strings:

These are perfect for country, Classic Rock, bluesy tones. These twang more than your average, run-of-the-mill strings. They are perfect for SRV to CCR. Lynyrd Skynyrd too.
