Dean Markley's Vintage Electric Reissue electric guitar strings are nickel-plated steel hand-wound slowly over a round core, which affords the outer string wrap to have 100% contact with the core wire. This allows the guitar string to vibrate completely for maximum sustain, creating a warm, full sound distinctive of classic rock 'n' roll.
Vintage Electric Reissue strings are the exact same strings, with the exact same formula, as the original Vintage Electric that became so world famous. The care taken in producing these strings ensures that they have clear tone and be as long-lasting as the original Vintage Electric guitar strings.
This special re-creation of the original string formula celebrates a return to vintage tones that modern players continue to demand.
The Dean Markley Vintage Electric Reissue strings received the Best in Show award for the Best New Accessory at Winter NAMM 2008 musical products convention.
Comes with two G strings: .18 plain and .20 wound.

Wow! I've been using Dean Markley mediums for a couple of years now. I didn't think I'd ever find a set of strings that I would like better. Well, here they are! These have a terrific, bite to them on my '75 SG. Better still, they seem to keep their youth longer than the standard DM mediums that I've been using. I've had them on my guitar for a few weeks now, and they still have a bright, energetic sound. They cost a bit more than the standard equivalent. But if they consistently last this much longer, then they're a great value in my book.
