The strings are very thick and have a rich tone. I really like the way they sound clean. They also sound great with distortion.

I picked up a set of these out of curiousity... i was gonna throw them on my '72 Tele, but then i thought, "hmmm, the strings on the Tele are new, i'll just thow them on that old Silvertone Archtop!" I play it mostly with a steel, lap or regular, and i can get some great tuinings out of them. their thick so they don't break when tuned up a few steps or so! Great tone, even when they have been stretched out and dropped back into standard tuning. i have abused these things! they still sound great!
