OVERVIEW

Bright and easy to play.

Gauges 40-60-80-100.

Hi-Beam Stainless Steel Bass Strings are roundwound and constructed upon a round core, which is unique in the industry. Hi-Beams require much more time, care, and extra steps to make than other bass strings. The extra effort DR expends making Hi-Beams results in a bass string that is highly flexible; musically bright without harshness; and strings that are renowned for unusually long life, consistency, and string-to-string balance. They don't eat your frets. Choose them for brightness and ease of playing. They fit virtually all scale lengths up to 37-3/4".

Comments about DR Strings Hi-Beams Lite 4-String Bass Strings:

While I really love the elasticity of the DR Sunbeams and nickle-wound bass strings in general, I do not like their shorter lifespan.
These are not far off from the Sunbeams, as far as ease of playing and overall tension. I am hoping to get more miles out of these. These are very punchy on my active Fender P Bass Deluxe. Mids are forward a bit and bottom end is nice and round. Bright, but smooth top end. Not what you would expect from a stainless wrap. If these have the longevity I think they will have , then I have found my new go to string.

Comments about DR Strings Hi-Beams Lite 4-String Bass Strings:

The only strings I play with. They are extremely easy to play, sound incredible and last a while. These are a vital part of my bass tone and I can't recommend them enough.

              Sweet tone!

Comments about DR Strings Hi-Beams Lite 4-String Bass Strings:

Love these strings for the sweet piano highs and the deep piano lows. I use these, Ken Smith or Blue Steels depending on what is available locally. I have great lasting tone with these, and when they are fresh they are very punchy. The good tone lasts awhile whether I'm picking or fingering.
