Fatter, deeper, and smoother stainless steel bass strings wound on round cores.

Marcus Miller signature Fat Beams were designed for Marcus' exacting standards. Marcus Miller is a pioneer in electric bass who has worked with Miles Davis, served as a producer for "Night Music," developed an extensive resume as a producer in L.A., and has played on more than 200 records.

Marcus Miller worked with DR to develop a new and improved version of one of the best stainless round wound bass strings on the market. The effort took over a year, and the result is a “fatter, deeper, smoother” string that satisfied Marcus Miller’s demanding standard. Fatter tone. Deeper sound, smoother feel and response are the qualities that separate Marcus Miller “Fat-Beams” from all other ordinary bass strings. New “Fat-Beams” are also more consistent in feel along the length of the string, as well as string to string.

jDR Strings and Spector Bass Guitars

Comments about DR Strings Marcus Miller MM6-30 Fat Beams Medium 6-String Bass Strings .125 Low B:

My playing can be heard on YouTube and on concert stages as well as in the studio. I let the tone speak for itself. It helps to have a superior instrument like the Spector USA bass. There is nothing I don't like about these strings....nothing!

Roy Franco.....Spector Forte 4 Spotlight artist DR enthusiast!
As an endorsing "spot light" artist for Spector Bass Guitars I have to say that I've never used better made strings than those by DR. On all of my Spector Basses I use Marcus Miller Fat Beams and have found them to be superior both in the studio and live. DR strings get better with each playing and outlast any other string I've used in the nearly 50 years I've been in the business.
I recently received my Spector six string bass and put DR's on immediately. What tone, what punch....amazing product! I have DR's on all four of my Spectors and will consider nothing else. Buy these, use these, love these!
Again, nothing better made!
Buy cheaper and you miss out on that "sound". I recommend these to all of my students and fellow pro bassists.

Comments about DR Strings Marcus Miller MM6-30 Fat Beams Medium 6-String Bass Strings .125 Low B:

Longest lasting strings I have found. Conistent sound for all strings.
I've been using Marcus Mill Fat Beams for 4 years. These are long lasting strings. I play once every week for 4 hours rehearsal and performance. I formerly had to change strings every 3-4 months. With the Marcus Miller strings I have gone as long as year before noticable unresponsiveness. These strings die very slowly.

When I was using standard no-name strings, they absolutely had to be changed every 3 or 4 months. The standard strings would sound really bright (which I liked) for about a month. The 2nd month they were ok. But sometime in the 3rd month they would suddenly be very dead and dull. One week they were ok, the next week they were horrible and unresponsive. The Marcus Miller Fat Beams have never exhibited this "sudden death syndrome".

The Marcus Miller strings are advertised as fatter, deeper, smoother and they are. To my ear they are not initially quite as bright as cheaper strings, but the sound is very good and it stays consistent for much longer than anything else I have used.
Very long lasting
Higher cost is more than offset by longer life
