I cannot praise these strings enough. One set lasts me 5 months, easy. Granted that i play electric more than acoustic, but if i played my acoustic more often (as in an hour every day), it would probably be between 3-4 months, although don't take my word on that. Like another reviewer said, these strings really do bring out the best in your guitar. they make my epiphone acoustic (which is alreaedy a decent instrument) compete with my friends' taylors. the sound is a little lacking in bass, but that's the guitar. with my latest set, i broke a couple of strings (my fault) and replaced them with uncoated d-addarios. whoever says that d'addarios are superior to elixirs are either crazy or ignorant. the evidence is in my guitar. already, after a few days, the d'addarios have gotten dull in both color and tone, while the much older elixirs still sound bright as ever. the reason why i gave it a 4.5 for value is because these strings are quite expensive, but they are pretty much worth it. buy some!!!

I purchased 2 sets of these strings for acoustic fingerpicking using fingerpicks. I expected them to be the best strings ever made, due to the advertising. Both sets wore out terribly within app. 3 weeks. Not just wore out, but several strings had to be replaced. I have gone back to using D'Addario 80/20s, which sound great and last longer. I was disappointed with the Nanowebs.

Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Light/Medium (.012-.056):

I have tried many different brands of strings looking for the best tone, and while some may have a good tone the poor playability and squeaking always kill it for me. Elixirs alway play easier and sound good longer than strings that cost much more. I'm hooked!
Great tone, comfortable and quick, easy on the fingers and the last!
less string breaking, no tarnishing

By Far The Longest Lasting and Best Sounding!

By Acoustic-Metalocalypse

Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Light/Medium (.012-.056):

Ever since I started playing guitar i've been very experimental in my tunings, and due to that my strings would constantly break. I switched to Elixirs about 5 years ago and have changed my strings only once every two years. Yes, you heard it and read it, ONCE every TWO years! I constantly play and beat my strings to death yet my guitar sounds as B-E-A-Utiful as it did when I first put on the strings. I highly recommend these strings. They last!

Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Light/Medium (.012-.056):

These strings give a good tonal balance for my '92 Takamine G-Series acoustic/electric guitar. They also allow the guitar to project very well which is especially useful when practicing with other acoustic instruments. This way, you aren't 'drowned-out' by the other instruments.

    Fantastic All-purpose string

    By Anonymous

Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Light/Medium (.012-.056):

I string my Breedlove Atlas Stage C250/EF with these and it sounds better than some $3000 acoustics. These bring out the best in your guitar and last 2-3x longer than other strings. With these, I only re-string about once every 6-8 weeks, whereas before with non-coated strings I was putting on new ones every 2-3weeks. Fingerpicking, flatpicking, strumming, these are great for it all. My action is quite low and I've got fingers harder than anything, so I'm thinking of switching up to 13-56, although these have been my choice guage for years on multiple guitars.

Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Light/Medium (.012-.056):

These strings really have a bright crisp twist when playin em! Gah lol they are really awesome. Usually, most people take one of these two sides: D'Addario or Elixir. Honestly, I love both. I use D'Addario for warm soft, slow playin due to their warmth tone, and Elixir for strumming, something fast and loud. These elixirs honestly dont have your average phosphore bronze tone, but have a "crispy" sound when playin' these. compare the two by how they sound. as for me, I'm on elixirs right now so, give em a shot.

    Brite Clean Tone For Months!

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Light/Medium (.012-.056):

Not only do these strings sound great, but they keep their tone for months. I put in 20+ hours on my Taylor each week, and I have very acidic hands. With that said, I was dead'ening and rusting out a set of D'Addario's in less than a week. Now with the Nanoweb technology I change my strings once a month, and have more money to use elsewhere for my musical habit. Now they make them in Phosphor Bronze!! These are the best strings ever.

Purchased these for my Dean V-Coustic, after fitting them on and tuning they made it come alive. These strings really are an improvement, from their longevity to their sound quality. I now put Elixir strings on all of my guitars, and highly recomend them to my friends.

been using elixirs for years and usually use light phospher bronze but my 815ce taylor came with medium guage and i replaced with lights. After going back to medium lights i see why they send them with mediums from the factory. Another reason would be the fact that its a jumbo so more tension on the guitar would produce greater vibration and movement out of the larger top!

Thought they were going to be in sealed pack, but they were in individual paper packs, in cardboard. So not sure on the shelf life. I bought specifically because I read they were sealed. Not true.

I was not impressed with the sound of these strings at all. They sound like a piece of rubber muffled over the strings. For the price and quality I will never buy these strings again. Out of all the coated Strings I would recommend Clear Tones. These strings seem to flake horrible and seem very uncomfortable after a few days of play when the plastic comes off.
