Comments about EMG 57-B Humbucker Guitar Bridge Pickup:

My review will be pretty limited. I used this to replace an EMG 81 in the bridge of my gibson sg. I use this position for metal. My EVH 5153 mini stack does not have a lot of booming bottom end, and my 81 sounded thin on this amp compared to other pickups. My experience refers to heavy riffing under high gain on channel 3. The 57 was a plug n play swap, and was instantly recognizably different. Much more testicular fortitude, yet retains the compressed tone and quick attack that emgs do so naturally.

My take in short, it sounds like an 81 with beef added. Exactly what I was looking for.
