highly recommended for those seeking for robust sound and clear tones

By Tulio Murillo

from Honduras

Comments about EMG JHZ Passive Bass Pickup Set:

I installed this set of pickups in a cherry red Squier J Bass; the reason I did was more related to malfunction of the originals rather than seaking for a specific tone. To my surprise the bass gained a round sound, lots of presence and an impecable tone, it is a very sensible bass now, no distortion at all and completely noiseless (although you can hear a humm when opening the tone knob completely).

Overall I am very pleased. I am not a professional musician but above you have read in summary the comments of those professional jazz-salsa players who had tried my bass.

Project bass

Comments about EMG JHZ Passive Bass Pickup Set:

I took a Squier Jazz bass and dumped everything except the wood. I had a custom paint job done on the guitar then replaced the bridge, pots, machine heads. Afterwards I installed a set of these and set up the action and intonation. I was blown away by the sound. I play it through a Markbass CMD 102 P. Several pro bass players could not believe it was once a Squier. Of my 7 basses this is the one I take to my gigs.
