Yep, it sounds better and adds greater volume. Not a life changing event that some of the other reviews claim. Still, it is better to have upgraded from the original speaker. I have a 15" Eminence Legend that I'll drop into a cabinet tonight to see if it can add even more life to the SCXD (Super Champ XD). The 110 just seems too small to get a "great" sound from the amp, even in a small room. Thanks for the 2 added guitar picks and Eminence Inside emblem.

I was looking specifically for the vintage American sound and from Eminence this was the closest match. Specifically I was looking to replace one of the speakers in my silver face Vibrolux. I wanted something different from the Jensen C10Q that I have in the second slot to give it a more complex and harmonically rich sound. The Copperhead was certainly fine but it really is more modern sounding than it is vintage. This means it does a good job of covering the full spectrum and is louder, but really lacks that cool vibey sound you can get from truly vintage speakers that are not as full but have a rich 3-D sound and feel to them.

Tone Tone Tone

By Bob-1QvRJ

Comments about Eminence Patriot The Copperhead 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

This speaker has one of the sweetest tones I have ever heard. Makes me drool thinking what one of the Eminence 12inch speakers must sound like. I put this in a 25W solid state Fender Champion 110 practice amp, and this amp (which was loud to start with), got louder. But not harsher. So smooth, round, clean, clear, and nuanced, I swear it's close to a tube sound now. There are harmonics in the sustain I never knew were there before. And it'll drive like crazy too. I was worried that the magnet wasn't going to have enough heft to yield a defined bass end (the Ragin' Cajun is bigger), but it is so perfectly well defined and balanced with the mids and highs, I cannot imagine any Celestion matching it. And here's the deal: Made in the USA, baby! The Eminence website has sound samples of all of their Patriot (American sound) and Red Coat (British sound, voice coils sourced from the UK, not China) speakers. You are going to find the tone you've been looking for. I did.

Perfect for Princeton Reverb

By Basement Bob

Comments about Eminence Patriot The Copperhead 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

I just picked up a '79 Princeton reverb with the wrong speaker in it (an Electrovoice with a huge magnet). After a lot of research and a conversation with David Allen of Allen Amps, I ordered one of these. While waiting for it to arrive, I stuck in a Jensen P10R and thought that had a pretty good sound. When I swapped in the Copperhead, it sounded like a completely different amp. Way, Way better, thick mids, smoother breakup, less crackly, just a beautiful rich tone. This is the sound I have been looking for for years. I swear it got louder as well. I usually never go wacky over products, but this speaker is remarkable. I wish they made it in a 8 inch version, I would put one in my Champ also. I actually feel like a better player because of this speaker. Is that wrong?

G-Dec 30 upgrade

Comments about Eminence Patriot The Copperhead 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

You would think Fender would put better speakers in their amps but they don't. I bought one of these 10" Copperheads and put it in my G-Dec 30 after seeing that it is recommended as an upgrade for that amp. The original speaker is a toy speaker. The Copperhead really brought my G-Dec to life and gave it some real depth. The G-Dec is still just a practice amp but with this very easy modification, it sounds 100% better. Highly recommended if you are a G-Dec 30 owner. (No soldering required.)

Great speakers

Comments about Eminence Patriot The Copperhead 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

I installed these into my old MusicMan 210 guitar amp and WOW. They give it an amazing sound. They've got that good country honk and twang as described. I play a Deluxe Nashville Tele through it and it gives me just the sound I look for in an amp. I also plugged a pedal steel guitar into it a couple times and it sounded fantastic. These are also lightweight (a lot lighter than the stock speakers anyway) and made my amp that much easier to lug around. I highly recommend these for country and blues pickers!!!

Now it;s a Champ

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about Eminence Patriot The Copperhead 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

Glad to put aside the stock Fender speaker. It was weak with not much personality. I read alot about the Rajun'Cajun version but I like to be different so I went with the report of the Patriot's vintage american sound. My custom Tele (Fralin/Adder pickups) sounds fresh, loud and sweet through the clean channel. The modeling channel and effects have come alive with the swap. The overdriven effects are evil. A friend plays out with a Strat through a Blues Jr. and I have always enjoyed hearing that combo. The Copperhead/Superchamp brings out that quality sound.

Great Speakers!!!

Comments about Eminence Patriot The Copperhead 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

I put a set of these in my old 1980 Music Man 210 along with some new Ruby tubes. I was very impressed with the tone. I am a Tele picker and this is just the sound I needed. They have a nice, crisp tone and great mids. I used to think the stock speakers had a lot of power, but now it really packs a punch. After putting them to the test at home, I put them to the ultimate test....live on stage. I was blown away with the sound I was getting. I was even complimented by the audience about how good I was sounding that night. If you are a country picker like me or any other kind of music, I know you will appreciate the sound of these speakers!

I put the Copperhead in my Fender Super champ x2.
The difference is night and day between the stock speaker and the copperhead. I couldn't be more happy with the tone. The stock speaker was lacking a warm mid range....now I have it.

Comments about Eminence Patriot The Copperhead 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

the copperhead is a great asset to the eminence speakers. It has very good overtones that a guitar player really can appreciate. Some amps come with good eminence speakers but to hold cost down they have lower grade speakers. You can improve them with better grade speakers from the same company to improve the performance of the amp. I have five little amps in my studio that walk the talk big time now..thanks eminence

Comments about Eminence Patriot The Copperhead 10" 75W Guitar Speaker:

Has a Real " Vintage Fender " type sound. So much like a Blues jr. or a Princeton Reverb that after comparing them, I really couldn't justify going out and spending the money on either amp. It has brought a BIG SOUND to my Roland Cube 40XL. I play a lot of vintage Blues on this amp now and with the effects on the Roland Cube, it sounds like an old tube amp (and I own a couple of those ). If I change the settings to more like a MESA Boogie or a Line 6 , the Copperhead Steps Right up into a Screeching Metal Sound with plenty of Bottom as well. Did I mention it has a BIG SOUND ?? Also for a full clean Jazz sound with my Hollow Body and a rich full clean sound with my Acoustic, it can't be beat !!! No regrets in buying this little Powerhouse 10 incher from Eminence !

I just installed this speaker in a Fender 25R. Makes a wonderful light amp. Great sound and plenty of quality sound for small venues. No more lugging that 80lb amp to little gigs. The speaker makes the difference.

Got one of these to try out in my Roland Cube 30x amp. What a wake up call. Everything sounds like it is supposed to now. Reverb, chorus and the whole nine yards. Even louder and clearer. The stock speaker was o.k but lacking something. Now I play my acoustic Taylor 310ce and my Les Paul Studio through it and they Sound Great.
