Comments about Ernie Ball 2061 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze 5-String Banjo Frailing Strings:

I have used these strings on all my banjos and banjolas for years because I know what to expect pack after pack. I like the mellow sound they produce, easy to tune and stays tuned, all around, the best string I have found and they are inexpensive so I can change strings often.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2061 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze 5-String Banjo Frailing Strings:

I have tried them all and these are my preference in banjo strings, I have them on every banjo I own from the woodies to the heavy tonering models, have never got a bad string yet and as long as you keep them clean, they last as long as any I have used.

I have been using the frailing strings since musicians friend started selling them. I play strictly acoustic and these strings have plenty of volume and great old time sound.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2061 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze 5-String Banjo Frailing Strings:

I love these strings on my Deering Goodtime banjo. I play in multiple tunnings all the time and If these string can last this long they get an A+ for me. When I first got the strings I did break one when putting them up there. That put a bad taste in my mouth as far as quality. But as I had bought a big pack of them I decided to just get another out and try it again. I blame that break on myself. These strings are a year old, and I play everyday.

Great sound but very hard on your fretting fingers. If you don't have calusses on your fingertips, you will after playing with these strings.

I have been using Ernie Ball Phos. strings on my banjolas and banjos for quite some time. Not as loud as straight steel but the tone more than makes up for it. Musicians Friend prices, quick shipping and outstanding followup, if you need it keep bringing me back, thanks!
