Finally, a coated set that offers plain strings the same deserving protection as wound strings!

This money saving 2-pack of Ernie Ball Slinky Acoustic Guitar Strings features patented coated Titanium RPS Technology that resists rust and grime for bright and powerful tone time after time.

Ernie Ball's titanium coated 2156 Slinky guitar strings are stronger and longer-lasting than traditional strings--either coated and uncoated strings. That's thanks in part to an exclusive protective coating on both the wrap wire and the plain strings as well as a patented winding of titanium wire around the lock twist of the ball end. Staying true to Ernie Ball's heritage of superb craftsmanship and sound quality, Slinky Acoustic Guitar Strings are made with the finest and freshest raw materials, resulting in a crisp ringing sound with pleasing overtones.

Enhancing the inherent guitar string quality and freshness is Ernie Ball's string packaging. Produced and hermetically sealed into their packages at Ernie Ball's desert headquarters in Coachella, CA, Slinky Acoustic Guitar strings are exposed to minimal moisture and humidity from factory to retailer--insuring that all Ernie Ball strings are as fresh upon opening as they were the day they were made.

Be ready for anything - order this 2-pack today.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2156 Coated Slinky Acoustic Strings Medium Lite 2 Pack:

As someone who generally does not like the sound of coated strings, I was hesitant to try these. A rep gave me a set at the NAMM show. When I put these on and tried them, I was blown away. Forget for a minute that they are coated, the sound was unbelievable (and *loud*) for any string, coated or not. I have tried all the coated strings, and hated most (Elixir sitting solidly at the tippy-top of the crap heap). Cleartone is the only other string that gets an honorable mention from me. They are great, but the Ernie Balls are a little louder and ring a little longer. They wear great, and hold their tone a long, long time, and they have a great tone when amplified. Also, they don't feel like coated strings at all. I like this about them, but those of you looking for that "greasy" coated feel will want to choose another brand. They are a little pricey, so they get a 4 for value. All in all, stomps all over the competition.

    These rock!

Comments about Ernie Ball 2156 Coated Slinky Acoustic Strings Medium Lite 2 Pack:

I have played many different strings on my Gibson Songwriter Deluxe and after playing with these, I doubt I will ever use anything else. My only problem with them is the price. I tried Elixers and had to take them off almost immediately. I have never disliked another string so quickly.

    I don't get it

Comments about Ernie Ball 2156 Coated Slinky Acoustic Strings Medium Lite 2 Pack:

I've been using coated strings for about 10 years, all brands (EXP, Elixer, DM) and they all provide about the same sound quality and durability (The EXP's are the hardest to keep in tune). So, I was expecting a significant improvement with these, considering they were new (next generation, sort of thing). These strings sounded bright and even for about 1 week. Now, they are flat and dull. If I didn't keep the package in the case, I would never now they were coated. I returned the extra set, and bought Elixers again.
