Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man 5983 Hardshell Guitar Case:

This case really is built for the MM/Sterling instruments. Other than the cutaway being able to handle right and left handed guitars, this case is precise for fitting their guitars. No wiggle room. The guitar is snug. The extra space is great for straps, cords, lego bricks, and anything else you need.

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man 5983 Hardshell Guitar Case:

I have purchased several of these cases at varying street prices. Basically, the case is an SKS that is OEM'd for Fender et al. Same case as if purchased the universal case from EBMM but 1/2 to 2/3 the price. Fits my SUB-1 like a glove.

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man 5983 Hardshell Guitar Case:

Ordered this case to replace the gig bag that came with my Sterling by Music Man AX30 and have been very pleased. It should fit Sterling SUB series Axis models as well as the Sterling AX40 models too. With compartments for straps and cords, the Ernie Ball Music Man 5983 case will not disappoint.

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man 5983 Hardshell Guitar Case:

If you have an OLP MM1 or MM Axis, this case is for you. There are little cases out there that will fit 25 1/2 scale guitars. So when I found this one I was very happy to purchase. The construction is very sound along with plush interior & is lightweight. There is plenty of storage for picks, straps, cables even a couple stompboxes. The inside cavity is mirrored to accommodate left-handed guitars too.

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man 5983 Hardshell Guitar Case:

My Music Man guitar is a top of the line Ball Family Reserve which means that it comes with a very nice leather-covered plush case. That case is too nice to bang around to and from gigs, and its also way too heavy. I bought this case because:
                  a) It fit my guitar perfectly
                  b) I could leave the whammy bar installed always
                  c) It is much lighter than the Ball Family Reserve case
                  d) It is very sturdy - it even has bumpers all around it
                  e) It is inexpensive - best value I could find
                  f) Ernie Ball Music Man guitars are made in the USA - given a choice I like to support "local" businesses
                  g) There are two compartments inside the case for storing strings, polish-cloths, finger-ease, tools etc. When I first opened the case I saw that the two compartments did not have a lid and I considered that a design flaw and oversight. Then I realized that the guitar case lid had two large plush-covered pads above each of the compartments. When you close the guitar case those pads act as "lids" to each of the compartments and nothing can fall out. The fact that those "lid-pads" are made of foam means that you can place objects that might actually be a little too tall for the compartment and still close the case without forcing it or damaging it because those pads absorb the protruding contents of the compartment.

I wanted a guitar case that fit my guitar very snugly. If the guitar can't move around inside the case then it won't get damaged. This case fits my guitar like a glove, *but* it makes a very snug fit if I leave my guitar strap on when I store the guitar. I guess you can't have it both ways.

Like I said, this case is well thought out, well designed and well built. And for the price I couldn't find a better value anywhere.

Lightweight and sturdy , no trem bar removal

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man 5983 Hardshell Guitar Case:

I have two of these one for my luke and another for my jp7 they are sturdy , light, and well designed. The best part is that you can leave the trem bar in ..... thats right there is a space cut about the guitar just so you dont have to pull out the trem bar. Overall its pretty good its a hard plastic so you don't have to worry about it the scratches and dings from gigging only add character. Its really great to use instead of the nice leather cases that get scratched and torn up from using them on the road. case locks are sturdy but are easy to open and they stay shut. It really is a great case.
