I purchased this cable to see what all of the hype was about - as some of the top players in the DFW area use this cable regularly.
I will say that I typically make my own cables and have for years - and I prefer Mogami 2524 for just about everything - until now.
There is something different about the sound of your rig with this cable - I just can't put my finger on it - things like clarity, smooth highs, punchy lows and great individual string sounds while playing chords.
And it's quiet. I am used to quiet, but this cable is really quiet. No handling noise, no RF, no buzz or humm that you get in the usual places. Just a darn nice cable. There is a certain club where everyone there gets a buzz - and when I switched cables it almost disappeared completely - with a simple cable change.
The construction is bullet proof - I like and used Neutrik ends before - and these are no exception. The cable is thick and feels nice while handling it.
I don't claim to understand the science behind this cool cable completely - but I know that it does it well and I have a new favorite cable.
I use George L's on the pedal board and still use Mogami 2524 from the board to the amp - but I may in the future use another The Forte cable from the pedal board to the amp - but for now I really enjoy it - especially when plugging directly into a good tube amp - like a Deadwood Amp - Deadwood Amps and The Forte cable go together like a hand in a glove.
I recommend this cable to everyone - even if you can't afford it - it is worth it.

I compared the Forte to the Lyric HG. The Lyric was more open, with greater definition and a brighter sound. The Lyric made me want to rock out. Though when switching from the Forte to the Lyric, I did miss its warmth. This is an excellent all around cable. The brochure says it is suited to acoustics, and I think it would also match well with jazz. It has a very smooth and well-balanced sound. I really liked this cable.
qwipment: American Delux Strat and Les Paul Standard into a Lonestar Special at 5w single-ended and 15w. (p.s. I think the manufacturer should do a better job of differentiating between these same-priced cables).
Beautiful look and feel. Very flexible. Mine was defective (picked up a hum overnight, shield must have disconnected), so I returned it and went with something else. I do miss it, though.
Higher value than Monster.
