This is a great speaker, and it's been in production for many years. I replaced the stock speaker on my Fender Stage 185 with this and it really cranks. I mainly play blues and rockabilly, and this speaker delivers in spades. This is not a speaker for Heavy Metal. Eminence and Musician's Friend have a long line of other speakers that you can buy that will fit just about any genre of music you play, This speaker is a STOCK speaker that gives you a nice, versaitle Fender 'brown' sound, and pulls off that fat British Blues (woman tone), Texas Blues, and even Country/Chicken Picken' licks just fine. I have other amps I experiment with, but because I gig with this amp, I chose to keep the versatility that it already had with the stock speaker, and I was not disappointed.
This speaker is LOUD, just like the original speaker, and I have not noticed any difference in sound or output quality. It performs just fine so if you're looking to replace a stock speaker for a Fender Stage 185, your search is over, this is it.
No muss, no fuss, it's an Eminence Speaker to the core. It does'nt have any 'special features,' it is what it says it is: A standard Replacement Speaker for a Fender Amplifier.
My old speaker came with the used amplifier and it had a large tear on the dust cap, so I had to replace it. This speaker replaces it perfectly and it is a high quality, well-built Fender (eminence) speaker.
Well, it's not cheap, but Musician's Friend did have the best price. I didn't expect anyone to 'give' me the speaker, but when compared to other models that Eminence makes, it was a little more expensive. I opted to keep the sound that made my amp what it is so I chose to replace the damaged speaker with the same type stock one. If you want a less expensive speaker, Musician's Friend has a great line of Eminence speakers that can tailor your sound to whatever you want. Like I said, I wanted the stock sound for this amp, and I knew I would have to pay a little more because there is a blue sticker on the back that says 'Fender.'

got a pair of 12"s on sale really cheap for my 66 twin , great clean sound , I like a clean fender sound , then add a tube screamer to it , you got classic blues sound!! , Recommended if you want clean and Loud!!
