First impression is cheap. I was interested in the protection of the solid foam body and the utility of exterior pockets. The solid foam is great, but is not padded well enough inside for me to trust with my laquered rosewood baby. The pocket in the neck area is not big enough to hold my harp case and the large pocket in the body area won't hold the books, etc., that I would want to carry. It has backpack straps - but they don't hide or come off in any way, so you're stuck with backpack straps whether you want them or not.
I've got a couple of hard shell cases and this is the better. First it fully zips all the way around and offers not only physical protection but thermal as well. It is light weight and great for local gigging or situations where a heavy case is impractical. It came with a guitar I bought and it wasn't the standard case. Since I had a case already that was the standard I was happy to have this really light weight case.
One drawback is the zippers. a little inconvenient if you store your box in it and play often. i enjoy the backpack straps, although wish there was a little more length to them. extra pockets are a joy.
