"Jazzier" than samarium cobalt.

Comments about Fender Gen 4 Noiseless Jazz Bass Pickups:

I have 2 American standard jazz basses. I put SCN pups in one about 10 years ago? I have enjoyed them and they have given me a very consistent sound, but are a bit compressed and more humbucker sounding. Playing in church a lot, I couldn't set my volume nobs at the sweet spot on my 2015 jazz due to the noise. This time around I reviewed the Aguilar, Seymour, and dimarzio noiseless but in the end wanted to keep the bass all Fender. So took a chance with their latest and greatest gen 4's. I can't speak for N3's or vintage noiseless, but these seem to have a much more open and clear jazz tone and allow me to mix the volumes to my liking without the buzzzzz. Kudos to Fender for getting another step closer to the sound we all love.
