Great Case for the money and made well with easy to replace parts.

Features:

Great features from easy to operate latches that if they become damaged are easy to replace. Great protection for on the road with a sturdy, stackable outside. I gave it a nine and not a ten for two reasons. The first is the well for a cord or other small items could be just a little deeper. I have a couple of short cables in there and a tuner and that is it. The second thing is my on going complaint with many cases, the nylon straps on either side. I had a Guitar once that was damaged because I had put the cover down and they folded right back into place and one was resting on the finish but I was not aware and it made a dimple pattern from the strap on the surface of the Guitar. By luck it was my road Guitar which already had a few battle wounds but I was not thrilled. Ever since then I cut them off for that reason plus if you ever had someone bump into your cover while in the up position just as you were putting your Guitar in, it can be ugly.

Quality:

Very good quality in the lining and the latches and overall construction. Your baby will be just fine if it takes a fall while she is in there. Would it survive ramp workers at the Airport...I think I would bump up and get the SKB flight case instead for that.

Value:

On the value side you can go wrong for what you get. I have had a ton of gig bags of all types and hardshell cases and a tweed case too. I have had Guitars knocked over in gig bags and get damage and some of the hardshell cases fell apart at the hinges or the latches started to give me trouble from normal use and tweed cases are another story. For $99 you can take your axe anywhere in this and not have to worry about the case not doing what it was designed for.

Overall:

SKB is a great company and I have stuck with their cases due to quality and price.

Features:

Strat fits like a glove, nice and snug. Gear compartment could use a small door though.

Quality:

Well made, very good protection for your Strat, or Tele. Nice strong latches, with lock on front main latch.

Value:

Best case you can find for the buck. Very cool looking "Fender" emblem molded into side of case.

Overall:

Two thumbs up here. What's not to like about a good solid case?

Airline damaged case, but tele OK

| Review By: Charles Wilson | 3 weeks, 5 days ago

1 people out of 1 found this review helpful

Features:

My case survived its first airline trip intact, with no damage. On its second trip, the airline managed to puncture and tear the very tough shell of the case at its corner. However; my American Standard Tele remained undamaged, despite the very great force it must have taken to rip the shell. In other words, the case did what it was supposed to do: protect my guitar from damage. By the way, the case fits my telecaster quite well, and has room for my tuner, picks, and cable. A thin strap fits in as well, but a thick padded strap is a challenge. I'm fighting the airline to reimburse me for the cost of replacing the case - when they do, I will immediately buy this same model again. Get one, they do the job at a great price.

Quality:

Would give it a 10 if the airline had not been able to damage the shell at all.

Value:

Great price.

Overall:

Sacrificed itself to protect my beloved telecaster!

This case is the best case for the money out there. I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else! (Even looking used). Smells kinda funny at first but eh. My strat fits in it just fine and it will keep it protected from anything/anyone who tries to mess

The latches are okay, they're a bit different to get used to but hey they keep it closed. Love that I can lock my strat up from the pesky gremlins that roam my house!

If you're trying to find a case for your strat get this one. Its the best quality for the best price. Plus you can't beat free shipping Very satisfied with purchase.

SKB molded guitar case

| Review By: Robert Corbett | 2 months, 3 weeks ago

1 people out of 1 found this review helpful

Features:

This is a really good case for either a stratocaster or telecaster guitar. It is a molded plastic case that is heavy duty enough to handle the rigors of constant transport to the shows. I bought one a while back for my telecaster and have been glad I did. The Fender cases are nice looking and hold up well with care but these cases are really tough!  The only reason that I gave this case an 8 was because they don't have a seperate storage compartment for straps and picks etc.I carry a seperate gig bag for my straps and cords and so it's not that big of a deal as I"d much rather have my guitar protected than straps. A really well made case.

Quality:

As I said the quality is excellent. This case is molded out of tough plastic and is rigid enough to take reasonable abuse of transporting in a trailer, and probably enough on an airplane. The latches are really great and heavy duty as well with a single locking center latch. This case holds my telecaster and stratocaster guitars nice and snugly so there is absolutely no moving of the guitar to rub while in the case. As I said the reason for the 9 rating is due to there not being a seperate holding compartment for accessories.

Value:

The real purpose of a case is to protect your instrument and that's exactly what this case does. For the money, I haven't seen a better case. Gig bags really don't protect except for maybe minor scratches, but this case really does the job and looks great and professional as well. You really cain't go wrong at this price, and I've seen more expensive cases not as well made as this one.

Overall:

Overall a great case for value and especially protection. You invest a lot of money in a good guitar and you'll need a way to transport it from one place to another SAFELY !  Hey, accidents are going to happen eventually so you might as well be prepared for them. If you're not going to throw it off the Empire State Building or think an elephant might sit on it, get something cheeper.
