Simple, easy and effective

I have a few of these laying around the house and in ten years never had an issue with them. They do what they are meant to do... cradle your guitar.

Having had these same units for 10 years now I can say that they self destruct in the "ankle" where the vertical brace meets the feet. 10 years for the price isn't bad, but when a fellow musician comes over with a vintage guitar and it falls off the stand due to the plastic "ankle" they may be more expensive than you want to look at.That said, there's always the "10 years" statement, wherein I've never had a problem. But I've had two of the six fail within a two or three week period, dropping one of my Strats and my SG onto a concrete floor. As long as you're ok with a ten year life cycle (or less), then the price is right and it always works right until it doesn't. I'm not sure about what the surprise factor weighting should be.My cheapest guitar stands have lasted for 20 years without problems and I can no longer find them for purchase.

Comments about FretRest by Proline HT1010 Guitar Stand:

This is the best guitar stand I have ever owned. Your guitar cannot turn over with this stand, it is so well made and sturdy, why have I not bought this sooner, I will buy more later on. This is the one that others should try to imitate. Have had the cheap ones which worked but tend to turn over if accidently run into. Great product Fretline. Seems ever product I have purchased from their line is above the rest.

Comments about FretRest by Proline HT1010 Guitar Stand:

This product is definitely a cut above your run of the mill, cheap stand. The gauge of the metal is heavier and it's evident that there's just better quality control. The stand is nice and tall when the top support is fully extended, no problem holding a bass guitar. I'm not a fan of the swiveling bottom bracket that holds the instrument - but virtually all of them do this now, it's pretty much universal.

Comments about FretRest by Proline HT1010 Guitar Stand:

This stand is great. I Love it so much that I replaced all four of my guitar stands with this one. it can't be said enough that this stand is far better than those bargain stands. You get what you pay for in this case. Very sturdy and rigid construction. It's light weight and easy to fold for storage and easy to reassemble. The larger diameter tubing also helps with it's strength. Great stand overall.

This is the stand you expect to get when you are shopping for one. It is far better than the lower cost options: it is beefier, far more stable and holds what you put on it securely. I also have the budget version which can be had for a quarter of the cost. This model is worth it. A bass guitar on the budget stand will be headed towards the floor if anything touches it. Not so with the Fretrest. They look similar in pictures, but side by side there is NO comparison.
