The Full Contact Hardware system with proprietary eCAM saddle technology offers dramatic tonal and sustain improvements for your electric bass guitar when compared to standards of the industry. The FCH-4 is a complete replacement bridge system for Fender 5-hole mount, four-string bass guitar bridges. It offers unmatched stability, increased sustain, dramatically improved tone, and complete adjustability.

The FCH-4 bass bridge innovative solution allows for extremely fast and precise individual string height action adjustments as well as accurate individual intonation adjustments including a string height lock and an intonation lock feature.

Full contact over fifty times that of a conventional bridge saddle is always maintained between the saddle and the body of the bass. The FCH-4 bass bridge has no gaps or voids to inhibit the transference of the vibration of the string and the resonance of the body. The Full Contact Hardware direct coupling system for four-string bass style bridges directly replaces the existing bridge. The eCam saddle design means that unwanted spaces between the bottom of the saddle and the top of the bass guitar body are eliminated.

WATCH THE YOUTUBE VIDEO BY MR. BABICZ AND FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS. I had no problems with fitment of the screws that came with the bridge. I installed this bass on a MIM Fender, a Geddy Lee, a '76 Jazz American. I followed his tutorial on youtube and never had an issue. Be sure to set your truss rod first, then you intonation, finally set the string height. Easiest and most accurate way to get a perfect set up. Best bridge I have ever owned, and I have owned them all. For the money, the returns are astronomical
First the to point out here is the fact that you can lock you saddles and cams. Once you take the time to set up your intonation and string height you tend to not want to fool with it every string change. I have used every bridge out there looking for the right bridge that could retain the settings that make playing comfortable for me. The fact that you can lock your intonation and string height (action) reduces the worry of being ready for a gig by half when it comes to your bass. I love the cams as the have more contact with the string, which in turn gives you more resonance. The full contact base plate ensures tonal transfer of vibration which means better sound from your body wood. Now you can really get the full tone of you swamp ash, mahogany, maple, etc. Since is is made of aluminum, it will not have the weight of a brass bridge, but that is made up by the contact of the base plate. It is made in Taiwan...so, when you hold this thing and use it on your bass, you will find the quality is very much present.
Durable, light weight, sturdy, and you can see and feel the attention to quality and detail. I don't care where it's made, they did a great job. All the pieces work well together and the fitment is exact.
For this price it is a paltry sum of money for the quality, tonal enhancement, increased resonance and sustain. The ease of adjustment is ridiculous.

As with most bass gear - taste is subjective. I played a P-bass with this FCH bridge, and tried it side-by-side with my own Badass-III-equipped USA P. I was sort of underwhelmed. It's a very interesting design, construction quality is top-drawer, and it's an improvement over the stock "twisted tin", but... it doesn't have the 'roid-rage sound of my Badass III. Turns out the FCH bridge is not available in brass or alloy-iron construction, and won't support thru-the-body stringing. And, it's a bit pricey for a non-USA-made aluminum bridge.

I'm planning a major modification to my sainted Music Man Stingray and wanted initially to install the FCH bridge, but I think I'll go with a Hipshot A or TransTone.

Comments about Full Contact Hardware 4-String Fender-Style Bass Bridge:

I've been lurking this bridge for a long time. I have several basses and several different kinds of bridges. I put this on a hot rod Fernandez Jazz copy and the difference was immediate and profound. I really like the tone of this bridge, it's every bit as good as my Leo Quann. At first I was a bit intimidated by all the adjustments, but once I got going on the set up it was really quite simple. In fact - I only had to make slight adjustments to the intonation right out of the box - this one is a keeper; get it, you'll be very happy with it!

      FULL CONTACT HARDWARE

      By david kelly

Comments about Full Contact Hardware 4-String Fender-Style Bass Bridge:

This FCH bridge is the easiest replacement bridge I've ever had the pleasure to own/install/set up and fine-tune over ALL other bridges. The fact that you can lock in your string height and intonation settings puts it over the top, no worries about slipping out of settings you have made-they're locked in! Sound/tone quality is off the charts and is heard immediatly as well as the action on the fret-board: It's like NOW you can play the bas you always wanted-just by switchind out your old standard or previous bridge. Am getting one for my P-Bass in a couple of weeks!

      Not a bad little bridge

      By Danny Tilman

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Full Contact Hardware 4-String Fender-Style Bass Bridge:

Bought this bridge as a replacement to the stock bridge on my Tobias.

It's lightweight aluminum help keep the bass light- which is a huge plus during a 3 hr. gig.

The locking mechanisms on both the intonation and the bridge saddles are my favorite features. I haven't swapped out strings yet but I have a feeling I'll be able to swap them all out at one time without having to worry about readjusting bridge height.

My only wish would be for more sustain- then again it's a light weight wood so I can't ask for everything.

FYI: MADE IN TAIWAN out of aluminum !

Comments about Full Contact Hardware 4-String Fender-Style Bass Bridge:

I got this ONLY because it looked beefy & heavy and I assumed it was a USA made product so I was very bummed when I felt it's light aluminum weight in my hand. THEN I flipped it over and it says "Made in Taiwan" on it ! These are a few details their company left out of their description for good reason. So, my stock MIM bridge being junk I descide to give it a chance, keep it and install it. You have to remove the "E" and "A" string saddles to get the mounting screws in, ANOTHER thing they could have told me up front. It did however bolt right in and set up easy, intonation was a breeze as was height adjustment with the cam set up it has. I thought it would be hard to raise the string up under tension but there was hardly any load on the cams allen screw and I must admit it looks mechanical and cool on my bass. All in all if I knew these few things up front I would have FOR SURE got the Badass III which 2 of my bass playing buddies recommended but I, being a stubborn know it all, ignored their valuable input. They're the same price but I've heard the Badass III is built like a tank and weighs a TON and has great sustain. In my opinion, go with the Badass III , for what this is, the Babicz Bass Bridge is a WAY overpriced, OVERSEAS gimicky bridge. I went with the flashy NEW thingy when I shoulda stuck with what the pros are using ! My bad...not next time though.

      Simply Wonderful!

      By Dave-Bass

      from Fort Myers, FL

Comments about Full Contact Hardware 4-String Fender-Style Bass Bridge:

Overall, I think, after buying my new bass, it was a really good decision buying this baby. It just doesn't make my bass look better but it makes the setup easier and more perfect and something very important, you don't have those awful vibrations from the stock bridge. Why do I keep saying more? Buy your own, you won't regret at all.
When I first saw this baby I knew it was a must-have bridge for my new 4 string Fender P Bass. I usually like the fancy stuff and this bridge has it all... It looks fancy, the eCAM saddles are just awesome. I don't know why people complaints about its installation when it's the easier thing to do (when you really know what you're doing). My bass now looks not just better than before, but also increased wood resonance on my bass...
Its quality is more than good. I really think Jeff Babicz spent a good time bringing this up. If I would recommend it? Yes!

      Best Bass Bridge Ever

      By wyldjoe

      from Massachusetts

Comments about Full Contact Hardware 4-String Fender-Style Bass Bridge:

I bought this to replace a Fender Deluxe J Bass bridge that had saddle pieces were starting to wonder. This Babicz bridge is a huge chunk of metal. Installing was a breeze...simple screw to screw. The holes matched up perfect. (Be advised the 5 string model of this bridge required some drilling on my MIM and American 5's...but was totally worth it!) Right away I noticed a HUGE increase in sustain. I also found it easier to dial in a sweeter tone on active basses I put it on...so tone transfer has increased. Intonation and string height adjustments are so easy and more accurate. As far as intonation issues other customers experience, I have not had any of those issues. After fully intonated with all sorts of string gauges, no problems yet and I still have plenty of room on the set screw...and I play a 5 string in B flat medium strings and a 4 in E Flat with heavy strings. Maybe they fixed the problem others talk about, but it's all good! I like how intonation and string height lock in place...very nice! Strings last about the same on this bridge...no breakage problems so far. My Badass bridge used to eat strings if I played heavy. I now own 2 of these and just ordered my 3rd for my new project bass and intend to buy other Babicz hardware for other guitars and stuff. Gonna try the strat bridge on my 93 strat plus. Keep you posted

      PRETTY DAMN GOOD

      By BigBear666

Comments about Full Contact Hardware 4-String Fender-Style Bass Bridge:

I bought this bridge for my 75 fender presicion bass and it def. made a difference. The design is amazing especially compared to the old bridge on fenders. Very easily tunable. I play alot of grind/trash so i needed better action and this product helped that significantlly. Theres only one flaw i have found and thats is the top two mount holes are directly under top two intonation screws so i had to pulled those two pieces off and then i could get the mounting screws in. not really a big deal. overall the product is def. worth the money.
