I tried a few different cases to fit my Seagull S6 Original. The Gator Dreadnought hard case was very nice but would not close completely without putting unnecessary pressure on the top of the guitar.
The Gator Lightweight case is a snug fit but much better for the top of the guitar. As you would expect it's great for travel because it is sturdy and lightweight. It also works well for storage. In the winter I can keep my acoustic in this case with the humidifier so it won't dry out due to the heat on in the house. Easy to get the guitar in and out as I play everyday. Definitely a great choice!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This case works great with my husband's Martin DXR1AE guitar. It has a compartment inside and pockets on the outside. It has two backpack type straps on the back of the case. It is lightweight and compact making it great for taking your guitar places.

My Martin D-15 was presented to me as a retirement gift.The unfortunate thing, was that it came with a heavy hard case. When you utilize your guitar as much as I do (performing/leading worship), going up and down stairs, loading and unloading my vehicle, it became a chore... I have been searching high and low for a "soft case" that had utilitarian features, but the interior protection of a hard case. This soft case fits the bill. It is lightweight, with an interior cutout that fit my Martin nice and tight...

I use Mooradian bags for my semi hollows, (gretsch) and bought the GL Dread for my acoustic. I just purchased another Gretsch 5120 and Mooradian bags were on back order.
It just so happens I pulled out the acoustic the other night and then tried the 5120 in the GL Dread case. Its a perfect fit, snug and tight. I also prefer the GL dread for gigging as its not as bulky as a Mooradian

If you are so successful that people pay to hear you play and you travel extensively, you need a hard shell guitar case. For everyone else, this is the case to have, way better protection and more features than the cardboard with vinyl flip tops that are so common with guitars. You won;t be disappointed with this one!

I recently bought this case at my local music shop for my Dean Performer. I got it for a very good price and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I was tired of carrying my favorite acoustic guitar around in nothing short of a guitar shaped canvas bag with abolutely no padding what-so-ever, so with my small lump of Christmas cash I bought this case. The first thing that told me this was a good case when I was making my way from the car to my porch I slipped on the ice and this case went flying and landed on the hard asphault and immedietely i was like "Oh $#@%" and opened the case and found not only the guitar was perfectly fine, but the case was completely unharmed to. Besides that it still proves itself to be a great case for the price. I will definitely buy another Gator Case again in the future.

This is something that i had wanted for a while and now that i have it it is awssome. Its made out of a super protective exterior and a nice soft black inside. There was only one issue though..... MY guitar didnt fit, not casue it was the wrong size but montana and epifone guitars have a diffrent shaped top. But it was good cause the memory foam it is made out of allowed it to shape to my guitar and it really helped instead of shipping it back. this is probally the best case you could buy light weight and protective!!! perfect.

This thing is light, sturdy, reliable and perfect for what I do. As a guitar major, I am gigging a lot and moving around a lot, and this case provides me with excellent mobility as well as excellent protection. I've even had it out in a rainstorm and my guitar stayed perfectly dry, unfazed by the weather. My only beef is with a zipper that broke, but I did that from overuse. If you're moving a lot and need great protection that will stand up to some serious punishment, go for this case.

Picked this up for an acoustic I bought my bestfriend, I was amazed at the quality, although I shouldn't have been. Gator makes great cases, I own their hard shell for my bass. This was light, but felt very sturdy. Some stickyness to the zipper, but over all very nice. The handle is perfectly placed for balanced carrying. This is not a Gig bag, think of it as an exteriorly padded dreadnought case. The inside is very plush, complete with a compartment to house picks, strings, pegs, etc. There is also a good size pocket outside. Can't go wrong with this one.

Its an excellent case if you are just looking for something nice to keep your guitar in at home. The screws that hold on the outer covering aren't secured the best of ways, as a few of mine quickly came out when I accidentally tugged on the edge a little to hard. A little glue fixed it right up though. Overall its a great case, but I would look into a hard case if you intend to travel with your guitar.
