I have a rather large pedal board with a chain of between 10 to 15 pedals in series. Prior to using George L's I had to remove pedals from the chain that I wasn't using because of signal degradation between instrument and amp. With the George L's I get, to my ear, a perfectly clear signal to the amp with at least 10 pedals in series. The sound is an absolute improvement over other cables. The assembly is incredibly simple and straightforward. Read the instructions?don?t strip the cable. I do wish they included a few more ends and a little less cable as I have cable left and no more solderless connectors; I rated value ata 4. Yes, they are expensive, but consider how much you have spent on the rest of your equipment. A single quality pedal will cost at least as much and will still sound of poor quality if you don?t use high-quality connectors and cables. The fact is that a chain is only as good as its weakest link. For me, that has always been with the cables. I will NEVER use inferior cables again as the sound difference is amazing. George L?s can only be described as crystal clear like the waters of a mountain stream. I don?t have any affiliation with George L, its parent company or subsidiaries. Save your money, buy these cables, and experience the feeling of discovering your instrument all over again!

If I sound frustrated then this review is dead on. I really thought that I would keep these in a my gig bag to do that "quick cable" if I ever needed one, but I need gear that works and is reliable. George L's are neither.
After over and hour I still don't have a useable cable. I'm not inept. I can wire up my own guitars and work on pedals and amps. I have tried recutting, more pressure, less pressure, threading the end harder, lighter and nothing. I will waste no more time and I consider this the WORST $80 I may have ever spend when it comes to gear.
I have done numerous cable comparsions and own cables from 15 different companies. Pro Co Sir Tweeds are by far the best sounding and longest lasting. I still have some Pro Co's from the 80's that still work.
Can't tell since none of the cables work.
Wasted money.

Comments about George L's Effects Pedal Cable Kit:
Bought this for my pedal board, I wanted to put George L's through the whole circuit since they're such a good cable company. The directions said DONT push the cable into the metal part. the cable wont work otherwise, you DO have to push the cable into the end a little bit. ALSO dont cut your cables with scissors or a wire cutter, use a box cutter (or a razor blade tool thing) and a cutting board. you'll get better cuts.

Comments about George L's Effects Pedal Cable Kit:
So here is what you need to know about George L's before you buy: 1.) they sound incredible 2.) YOU CAN'T CUT THE CABLE WITH WIRE CUTTERS!!!!!! It pinches the cable and it won't work. The only way to cut the cables is with a razor blade. If you do it this way, you won't run into any issues. 3.) They will come unscrewed through wear and tear on your pedalboard. There is short term and a long term way to fix this: short term: screw it back in and make sure it's snug. Long term: buy a plumer's seal appoxy at your local hardware store and put it on all the threads. Let me say this, I've tried other cables, but nothing has the sound quality of these guys.... They're wonderful.

Comments about George L's Effects Pedal Cable Kit:
These cables are extremely easy to use. It is as simple as unscrewing the back, cut the cable to desired length, put the cable in the connector, then screw on the back. That's it! I didn't have any problems making these cables. The only thing that I would recommend is getting a pair of good wire cutters and making your cuts as fast as possible. I found that if you cut the cable faster, your cuts will be much cleaner. Lastly I would like to say that my guitar tone improved greatly just by switching to these cables. Don't listen to the negative reviews, these cables are amazing! Buy some, you won't regret it.
Comments about George L's Effects Pedal Cable Kit:
I have used George L's for the last ten years and it like Hi-Def for your guitar.
Easy to make and repair custom cables
Never had a problem yet, been using George L's for the last ten years no problems.
You get what you pay for. These cables are worth every penny
Comments about George L's Effects Pedal Cable Kit:
Overall this is just what i needed for my rig . you get what you pay for and i feel i got top quality..
And if you care about aesthetics of your rig will certainly look great.
I never write reviews but after a bad experience with some other solderless wonders I think its time speak up. What could be better? this a cable that is easy to make ..looks great on your board and sounds clear.
They look very well made.I think they will last a lifetime.
That said ..I just got them and havent realy had enough time to test durability.
What i can say is i was able to put them together and had my board up and running in a very short time.
no problems at all with any of them. Just follow the instructions or go online theres a few realy good videos on you tube that will walk you through it..After i did one the others went together easy as pie..
As far as sound ..i dont think i have the best ear to be fair but i will say I can hear a difference in my rig..
Gone is the mess of cheap missmatched tone robbing cable mangle..
Im giving it a 6 only because i think for the price we should get 12 ends not 10.
I have plenty of cable left over (what will i ever do with it)
Comments about George L's Effects Pedal Cable Kit:
Read above
I kept ready so many good things about these cables so I finally broke down and spent the money for the pedal board kit. The first few cables were fine then I started getting shorts in them. I would test them and find that the jacket connection was but the pole connection would not seat.
I followed the instructions meticulously being sure not to press down on the cable while I screwed the cap on the jack.
Very unreliable and difficult to assemble
Way to expensive for something that doesn't work consistently

Comments about George L's Effects Pedal Cable Kit:
Great cables exactly what I was looking for to clean up the clutter on my pedal board.
Great cable kit that helps eliminate clutter on your pedal board and I could tell a slight difference in the clarity of my sound.
Great quality cables.
A little expensive but you can cut the cables exactly how you need them.
Comments about George L's Effects Pedal Cable Kit:
I've never had a single problem with George L's cables... NOT ONE ISSUE, EVER!!! I bought a kit from Robert Keeley's site about 3 years ago. Ordered the 0.155" cable with gold right angle connectors and stress relief jackets. Took me about 30 minutes to make 10 six inch cables. Plugged in and that was it. My board has been taken apart and changed around dozens of times over the last few years, cables have been added and removed 100's of times, still no problems with sound or connectivity. My advice to all the folks who complain about how the connections fail or how difficult it is to assemble the cables... order a couple of George L's pre-packaged cables... I really don't know how anyone could complain about the quality and sound of these cables. Go ahead and A/B test George L's with any of the Hosa, ProCo, Core X2, Planet Waves, etc... really any mass-marketed cables that are available... you will hear a real, audible, difference. The only complaint I have is the high cost, which is well above any other pedalboard cable products, but I also priced out 10 custom made cables from Redco, using gold Switchcraft right angle plugs and Mogami cable and ended up $10 higher. Also, those "stress relief jackets", they certainly don't relieve any cable-to-jack stress. They're just colored covers, you don't need them, get them only if you're into aesthetics.
