Comments about GHS Original Acoustic Soundhole Microphone:

I bought this for my Framus 12 String because I play in a percussive style doing a lot of drumming on the guitar as I play and needed a pick up that picks up the body sounds. I used this in conjunction with a Fishman pickup. I was really impressed by the richness of the sound I got from this mic. That's where the love affair ended I because of the sensitivity of the mic I could not use it at all when playing with my band because of the ungodly feedback. Also, installation because of the strap was a pain and the mic itself would frequently be in the way no matter how I adjusted it. The battery life is very short and requires that you unplug the cable any time you aren't using it or you can drain a battery completely after a couple of shows. Finally the wiring is so thin it was broken after being used for a few weeks. I do NOT recommend this for anyone who is a serious performer. While it has great sound for a small venue (less that 50 seats), the negative aspects far outweigh the positive.

THe ends broke off the holding strap the first time I went to put it on. Just cheap metal wire with a cover over it.

      Very Nice Sound

      By Patrick Long

Comments about GHS Original Acoustic Soundhole Microphone:

I own several acoustic and acoustic\electric guitars. This has the right sound to electrify an acoustic guitar. I noticed the difference from the piezo and magnetic pickups I have. I like this sound. While not the most expensive acoustic mic pickup it does the job. Plugged into a Marshall acoustic amp adjusted eq and found the sound very nice. Ever try to have a piezo or magnetic pickup reproduce guitar tapping?

      Works Great!

      By DaveBlei

Comments about GHS Original Acoustic Soundhole Microphone:

Read some bad reviews about it, but decided to give it a try. Used it at an open-mic, and some very expert ears were really impressed with the sound quality. This is a tremendous bargain. A better replication of the acoustic sound than any pickup or transducer that I have ever heard. Expensive mic'ing is the best sound, but you need to hold still in front of the mic. This is the second best alternative. I know you can buy more expensive systems than this. I'm just saying this is more than adequate. Problem solved.
